Transformers The anticipation of the new movie release has indeed released some great memories of Saturday morning cartoons. I for one do intend to go see the new movie because of all the memories of watching as a child.

Tom Terrific and Mighty Manfred The Wonder Dog long before there were "transformers," there was Tom Terrific who lived in a treehouse and who could "transform" himself into anything he wanted, thanks to his magic thinking cap!!

Remembering Jim Henson A Boy and His Frog Hundreds of millions of children and adults have been entranced by the magic that was Jim Henson. He had the most profound influence on children of any entertainer of his time, he adapted the ancient art of puppetry to the most modern of mediums, television, transforming both; he created a TV show that was one of the most popular on earth. But Jim Henson's greatest achievement was broader than any of those. Through his work, he helped sustain the qualities of fancifulness, warmth and consideration that have been so threatened by our coarse, cynical age. He was another of those very special individuals who gave us a reason to smile through some very tough years.

Wonder Woman One Foxy Lady Taken from the first season (1976) of Wonder Woman, "The Pluto File," this clip shows Diana Prince (Linda Carter) transform into Wonder Woman and then use her lasso to try to get information out of an ailing bad guy. Wish I could do that!!!

Hotel Froussard-Buenos Aires The house was built in 1890, served as an immigrant hotel, sat in decline for decades. In 1944, hosted tourists and immigrants from different countries. It is near Puerto Madero and in the heart of the city. The hotel has been named after its first owner, a French man. Was finally transformed into a modest but carefully restored 25-room B&B. It has high ceilings, carpeted rooms and loads of ornate trim work. The original iron elevator is a work of art and still functions, but you'll have to climb the wooden staircase from street level yourself. Modest stained-glass ceilings adorn the hallway.

Manimal Introduction Here are the opening credits from another notoriously bad show: Manimal. It aired on NBC for three months in 1983. The premise of the show was that Professor Jonathan Chase, an animal behaviorist, possessed the power to transform himself into any animal at will. Of course Chase chose to use his powers to fight evil as a member of the NYPD.

Bugs Bunny Controversy The last line of the 1954 Bugs Bunny cartoon Bewitched Bunny upset the politically correct crowd in the 1980s. In the final scene Bugs' nemesis, Witch Hazel, is transformed into a beautiful female rabbit through magic but retains her witchy cackle. As Bugs walks off with her he comments, 'Sure, I know, but aren't they all witches inside?' In Canada, censors declared the offhand remark to be misogynistic. In some DVD releases the last line has been changed to, 'Sure, I know, but who wants to be alone on Halloween?'

Mike Wallace 60 Minutes star interviewer passes Wallace, whose pitiless, prosecutorial style transformed television journalism and made "60 Minutes" compulsively watchable, died Saturday night at a care facility in New Canaan, Conn., where he had lived in recent years, CBS spokesman Kevin Tedesco said. He was 93.
