Ronnie Milsap is one of those singers who makes any song they sing unforgettable. Whenever I hear this, I think back to our honeymoon trip, we'd been married for 19 years and finally made it. Driving through the beautiful Smokey Mountains of SC, NC and VA, after it rained on those mountain roads it left a mist you could see throughout the hills and valleys, just beautiful...it was like being in heaven, and this song brings it all back again.

This sketch is from one of the most popular TV comedy shows in the UK. It ran for almost seventeen years and regularly drew a large audience. The Two Ronnies as it was called starred Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett and in my house was required Saturday night viewing.

Brings back memories of slow dancing with pretty girls... Our children and grand children will never experience those simpler days. It is sad. We had great times and great music back then.

According to Wikipedia
"The Righteous Brothers started their career on Moonglow with two moderate hits: "Little Latin Lupe Lu" and "My Babe" in 1963, as well as two albums. Both songs received airplay, but their first major hit single would be "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" on the Philles label in 1965. Produced by Phil Spector, the record is often cited as one of the peak expressions of Spector's Wall of Sound production techniques. It was one of the most successful pop singles of its time, despite exceeding the standard length for radio play. Indeed, according to BMI, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" remains the most played song in radio history, estimated to have been broadcast more than eight million times. A little known fact is that Spector used Cher (of Sonny & Cher fame) as a backup singer on this and other recordings."
Whatever...I still get goosebumps listening to it...
