Twisted Sister is an American heavy metal band from New York City. Their work fuses the shock tactics of Alice Cooper, the rebellious mood of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, the style of the New York Dolls, and the extravagant makeup of KISS...and they're a HOOT to look at!!

John McEnroe was only defaulted twice in his pro tennis career. Once was when he and doubles partner Peter Fleming were stuck in traffic and arrived late for their match at the US Open. The other time was at the 1990 Australian Open, as this clip shows. Prior to 1990, a player was defaulted only after a fourth code violation. McEnroe had forgotten the new rule and was disqualified after the third code violation.

Ex-football player Brian Bosworth starred in the FOX series Lawless--which didn't last beyond its premiere episode on Friday, March 21, 1997. The series centered around John Lawless, an ex-special forces operative who became a motorcycle-riding private investigator in Miami's South Beach. Here's a brief promo.

Jean Balukas, generally regarded as the greatest female pool player of all time, appears on this 1966 episode of I've Got A Secret--when she was not quite seven years old. (Balukas won the U.S. Open women's title seven consecutive times from 1972 through 1978.) She gives an impressive display of her talents.

The weird and wacky Rube Waddell is profiled in this excerpt from Ken Burns' Baseball documentary series. There's never been anyone else in the major leagues quite like Rube.

Here is a '57 Chevy AM/FM radio/cassette player from the '80's. The front hood opens to insert the cassette and the rear trunk opens to hold the batteries and AC cord. The headlights are the speakers, the windshield is the carrying handle and the antenna is, well, the antenna. The front driving lights light up when the unit is on. The front license plate says "RANDIX '57 Chevy." It was marketed by the RANDIX Co. but was manufactured in China! (It's probably been giving out melamine rays all these years!) I actually bought this at a Toys "R" Us. For those of you who watch reruns of "Home Improvement," you might have noticed one of these sitting on the shelf of the "Tool Time" set. (One of my favorite shows.)
