1924 Olympic Hockey Tournament The inaugural Winter Olympic Games in Chamonix, France in 1924 featured a hockey tournament that was far from competitive. The two North American teams handily crushed all European opposition. The eight-team event had Canada in one four-team pool and the United States in the other. The Canadians, comprised of amateur players solely from Toronto, won their first three games by ridiculous scores of 30-0, 33-0, and 22-0 versus Czecholslovakia, Switzerland, and Sweden respectively. The Americans were having an equally easy time vanquishing Belgium, France and Great Britain by a combined score of 65-0. In the semifinals Canada thumped Great Britain 19-2 while the United States whipped Sweden 20-0. Canada beat the US 6-1 in the gold-medal match. None of the champion Canadians ever played pro hockey. Canada's performance was so daunting that at the 1928 Winter Olympics, the Canadians were awarded an automatic bye to the finals while the other 10 teams battled each other to see which nation would get the honor of being pummelled. Switzerland emerged from the pack as the challenger--and promptly lost 11-0 to a team wholly comprised of students from the University of Toronto.

Drug testing didn't catch her, but Jones later admitted to doping and returned her five Olympic medals from Sydney. On January 11, 2008 she was sentenced to six months in the sneezer for lying under oath.

Robin Cousins Amazing Performance This was just way too cool! Tap dancing on ice skates! And I just LOVE this song...Tommy Dorsey performed it, I believe. Cousins has made the successful transfer from sport to stage, playing the Prince in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Munkustrap in Cats, and Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show in the West End. He also starred in, produced, directed, and/or choreographed many international TV ice spectaculars such as The Nutcracker on Ice, Sleeping Beauty on Ice, The Wizard of Oz on Ice, Toy Story on Ice, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express on Ice, Holiday on Ice, and the movie The Cutting Edge. He appeared as the head judge on the show Dancing on Ice in January - March 2006, again in 2007 and scheduled for 2008.

Chandra Crawford Sings O Canada On Olympic Podium Canadians don't generally win a lot of gold medals at the Olympics. When we do, it's cause for celebration. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, Canada's Chandra Crawford won a gold medal in cross-country skiing. She further endeared herself to the country with her gleeful singing of O Canada on the medal podium.

1960 Olympic Hockey USA USSR Here's some rare sports footage from the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, California. It's the deciding goal of the USA's 3-2 victory over the Soviet Union. The game was played in an outdoor rink. Notice the players didn't wear helmets and the goalies didn't wear masks.
