Made in 1988, and directed by Tim Burton, it starred Alec Baldwin, Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, Jeffrey Jones, Glenn Shadix and Catherine O'Hara. The title role was played with relish by Michael Keaton, who had the most fun with a male role since Jack Nicholson's devil in "The Witches of Eastwick.
