My name is Wayne. I was born in 1952 in a town about 40 miles east of Los Angeles, California. For the last 57 years, I have lived within shouting distance of Route 66. I have always been a big fan of trivia, especially history. A brief dabbling in genealogy revealed that I'm a direct descendant of Edward III, but my friend Dolores Cullen, a scholar of Geoffry Chaucer, was more impressed that the bard's first patron, John of Gaunt is something like my 19th great-grandfather.
I was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose for quite some time, where my wife, Linda and I both served as officers. When she passed away I consoled myself with the internet, where I discovered YRT, and I'm also an habitue of Yahoo Answers, where I endure bad spelling and nonexistent punctuation in order to offer guidance to young people.
My profile picture [avatar] is of me, taken in about 1963, judging from the roller skates and my godparents' 1962 Chevy that was originally in the background.
Just to make myself a little more interesting, I am currently homeless, living in one motel room or another, or occasionally staying with a friend. I'm so old, I can remember when Knott's Berry Farm, Southern California's oldest theme park, had free admission, and you bought individual tickets for each attraction.

My name is Stacy, I'm 41 and I live in Texas. I am the youngest of 5. My siblings were 13, 14, 19 and 24 when I was born. My first five years were filled with the greatest 60s and 70s music around blaring all the time thanks to my then teenage brother and sister. My brother had tons of records and I listened to them every chance I got. I was allowed to stay home alone in the summer when I was around 8-12. The lady next door was my sitter but she let me hang out in my house and would just come check on me. Its was fabulous. I sat around and ate and watched television all summer!
My husbands name is Lance and he is in the Tx Army Guard and went to Iraq for a year. We have 3 boys Cody is 21, Trevan is 11 and Grant is 7.
We have two dogs Simona and Moose also we have two cockatiels names Jax and Cate.
We also have one boring turtle. We had two but Grant put him on the washing machine and the next minute he was gone.
As for jobs, I was a cheerleading coach from 1990 until 2007. I owned my own program from 1998 to 2007. I retired in 2007.I was a photographer in high school and our year books are loaded with pictures I took. I continued that hobby well into adulthood. In 2004 I opened a free gallery of my "stock" type photos. My photos have been used in tons of stuff. Ive been the cover of at least 3 books that I know of. A handful of magazines, My photos have been used in two games, hundreds of advertisements and one was recently featured on Good Morning America.
While my husband was in Bosnia I bought Photoshop and taught myself. I got so good I began teaching online classes.
My main thing right now is home schooling my kids. Cody is out of school but Trevan is in 6th and Grant is in 1st. I started home schooling with Cody way back in 1992 so its really not a challenge anymore. Its great fun and I enjoy having my kids with me pretty much all the time.
I collect movies and I have over 1000 of them. Do you know how much room that takes up? As I said in my bio I'm slightly obsessed with Oscar. I never miss him and I have stuffed lots of Academy Award trivia in my head. I love old stuff and collect barbies, sesame street stuff, star wars stuff, and tons of other stuff I don't need. Ill be sure and post some pix soon.
Future plans are to sell our house (were packing now) and buy an RV and be full timers.

Here's something a little bit different. From the April 13, 1958 episode of The Ed Sullivan Show: Four New York Yankees (Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle and Moose Skowron) flank songwriter Jack Norworth--the man who penned Take Me Out to the Ballgame in 1908. With the help of the studio audience, of course they sing baseball's "anthem."

The ballgame isn't over until the last man is out! That adage proved to be very true in the fifth and deciding game of the 1972 National League Championship Series. The Pittsburgh Pirates, the defending World Series champs from 1971, led the hometown Cincinnati Reds 3-2 going into the bottom of the ninth inning. Reliever Dave Giusti entered the game to shut down the Reds. As this brief clip shows, the Reds would not be denied. Johnny Bench tied the game with a leadoff home run. Tony Perez singled and was replaced by pinch-runner George Foster. Another single by Denis Menke advanced Foster to second base and drove Giusti from the mound. He was replaced by Bob Moose. Cesar Geronimo flied out to Roberto Clemente in right field, which advanced Foster to third base. Darrel Chaney popped out. Hal McRae, pinch-hitting for Reds' pitcher Clay Carroll, stepped into the batter's box. Moose uncorked a wild pitch. Foster scored and the Reds were on their way to the World Series. Nobody knew it at the time, but Roberto Clemente had played his last game. He died in a plane crash on New Year's Eve. Bob Moose met an untimely end too: He died in a car crash on his 29th birthday in 1976. By the way, do you recognize the radio announcer? It is Al Michaels.

Fun stuff: Six members of the defending World Series champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, perform a clever musical number on the Joey Bishop Show in the spring of 1964. The tune from High Hopes stays the same but the lyrics discuss the Dodgers' 1963 NL pennant victory and World Series triumph. The musical Dodgers are Moose Skowron, Willie Davis, Tommy Davis, Ron Perranoski, Frank Howard and the tuxedo-clad Don Drysale.
