Davy Jones Sings Girl Hey, hey, it's a Monkee! From 1971, Davy Jones sings Girl on The Brady Bunch. You can tell by the last minute of this clip that the plot of this episode (titled Getting Davy Jones) revolves around Marcia's crazy promise to her school that she can get Davy Jones to sing at the eighth-grade prom.

Gettysburg Address On November 19, 1863, the National Military Cemetery in Gettyburg, Pennsylvania was officially dedicated. The Battle of Gettysburg lasted three days, from July 1 to 3, 1863. Some 150,000 men engaged in the Civil War's most important engagement--and some 50,000 of them became casualties. Edward Everett, a famed orator, was the keynote speaker at the dedication ceremony five months later. He spoke for two hours. President Abraham Lincoln was invited--almost as an afterthought--to make a few appropriate remarks. He followed Everett and spoke for just two minutes. Lincoln's brief speech remains the most stirring in American history.

Oldest Known Movie 1888 This is the world's oldest known motion picture. It lasts just two seconds so don't blink. It was shot in a garden in a place called Roundhay, near Leeds, England probably on October 14, 1888. I wonder if Siskel and Ebert gave it two thumbs up.

On Golden Pond This was such a touching, inspiring, and classic story. The film from 1981, explored the often turbulent relationship a young woman shared with her father growing up, and the difficulties faced by a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage. Once you've seen it, it will always hold a special place in your heart.

Carly Simon Nobody Does it Better The theme from the James Bond film, 'The Spy Who Loved Me'. This is Carly's 'Live from Martha's Vineyard, The Classic Concert', in 1988. Years ago I watched a broadcast of her doing a concert inside NYC's Grand Central Station and it absolutely blew me away!
