Here's a ten-minute edited version of one of the more memorable episodes of Happy Days. After buying a motorcycle, Richie has a terrible accident and is badly injured. The thought of his best friend on death's doorstep is too much for Fonzie, who is reduced to tears. The idea for this episode came from producer Garry Marshall. He had heard about an agency that dealt with abused children who were emotionally stifled and unable to cry. The idea was if they saw super-cool Fonzie crying...

One of the worst sitcoms ever to grace the American TV airwaves was 'Me And The Chimp.' It ran for 19 painful weeks on CBS from January 13 to May 18, 1972 before being yanked. Ted Bessell starred as dentist Mike Reynolds. Anita Gillette played his wife Liz. The plot revolved around the Reynolds family taking in a runway chimpanzee, and the primate's subsequent misadventures. This TV turkey was created by Garry Marshall and Tom Miller. Both later worked on major hit shows Happy Days and Laverne And Shirley.

May 11, 1997 saw one of the most important milestones in human history occur. Strangely, it was attained at the expense of humans. On that date in New York City, Garry Kasparov, the reigning world chess champion and one of the greatest players of all time, lost the deciding game of a six-game series to an IBM computer nicknamed Deep Blue. Kasparov resigned after only 19 moves, giving Deep Blue the match with a record of two wins, one loss, and three draws. The previous year, Kasparov had beaten an inferior version of Deep Blue four games to two in a series played in Philadelphia. To those in the computer industry, the triumph of Deep Blue was a cause for celebration. To many chess followers and ordinary folks, however, the result was ominous: Artificial intelligence had surpassed one of the great minds in human history. Here is a six-minute video about the 1997 event.
