Featured Member- Mizzouhillbilly aka Scott Hello my YRT friends. Y’all know me as Mizzouhillbilly, but my friends call me Scott. As you can tell from my tag I’m from the great state of Missouri. I was raised in a small town not far from my family’s cattle farm. My father worked for the USGS (grandfather wanted his kids to go to college and not work the farm) and moved us to the west coast in 1982 (I was 16 at the time). I have been in California since. I married my high school sweetheart in ’85 and she has blessed me with 4 beautiful kids. I am very family oriented, so we are a very close knit family. So, my life has been spent doing as much as possible with my family. I was a girl scout (YES! A girl scout) for many years as my wife was the troop leader. At the same time I coached my two oldest from t-ball to softball until they entered high school. I am also a proud cheer dad running all over the country to many cheer competitions. The rest of my time is spent getting a few hours of sleep and working a government job. Oh yeah, I do get to spend some time with my lovely wife. Things are starting to slow down as my kids are getting older allowing more time for myself. My oldest is 21 and about to graduate from UC Berkeley and plans on continuing her education at Cambridge next year. My second is 19 and a sophomore at a local state college and an avid photographer. My third is 17 and is about to graduate high school. She is a competitive cheerleader (like those you see on ESPN not high school) and is headed to Mizzou next year. Then my son is 14 and about to enter high school. He is an avid chef and is planning on opening his own pastry shop after getting his business degree (his words not dads). Once they’re all out of the house I’m headed back to the Ozarks to live my life sitting on the porch in my rocker with a cold one in one hand and my wife in the other. That is my life in a nutshell. I want to thank all my YRT friends for all their posts and support. My kids love seeing all the stuff from my childhood that I always talk about.

Johnny Cash on Columbo Johnny Cash sings 'I Saw The Light' in this 1974 episode of Columbo titled 'Swan Song.' Cash plays a popular gospel singer, Tommy Brown, who is being blackmailed out his his musical earnings by his wife. (The missus caught him doing the horizontal hokey-pokey with one of his teenage backup singers.) Brown solves his problem by getting rid of his wife and the girl in a plane crash that he arranged.

Featured Member- ChowDog aka Steve I was born and raised an "Army Brat" in Ft. Campbell, KY(1956) and lived the Army life until I was 10 years old. At which time my dad went to Vietnam and moved us back to my mom's and his hometown of Rockingham, NC which I still call "home". I had the typical home life and my parents were the best in the world as far as I'm concerned. I have moved myself several times since then to include a tour in the Air Force from 1974-1978. Went to college at UNC-Greensboro from 1979-1981. Didn't graduate though. Got married and moved back to Rockingham. That one didn't work out! But good things come to those that wait and married the true love of my life, Mary, in 1995. We have lived in Myrtle Beach, SC since then, but prior to that we lived in Atlanta, GA. Life has sure had it's ups and downs, but my "best friend" Mary always seems to make them OK regardless of what happens. We don't have any children but we do have 2 dogs that have us trained very well! I've had several professions over my life time to include working for Campbell Soup for awhile. But the past few years I have been heavily involved in marine electronics installations with my own business up until 2007 when doctors told me my right hip and my back just couldn't take that any more. What do doctors know huh? At least that was my thinking but boy did they prove me wrong! (So did my back and hip!) Got a job with Kodak after that as Director of Photography and Training at the Hard Rock Theme Park in Myrtle Beach that went belly up after their first year and now on lay off. BUT WAIT! Someone actually bought the place and looks like I may be back at work. Keep those fingers crossed!!! I stumbled on to YRT about a year ago. And for awhile my wife would literally have to make me come to bed! I couldn't get enough of this site! The past few months I went through surgery on my back and was laid up for awhile, was getting better, got a nasty sinus infection and that laid me up as well! (Talk about bad luck!) But all is better and I'm back at it again with new stuff to upload. Steve has made on heck of a site! While I don't know him or others on here personally I can tell you out of all the sites on the internet this is most certainly my favorite. People like "Jedgwrn" who supplys tons of trivia, "Marty6697" with all those great videos (where does he find all that stuff????) and "Lava1964" who I believe has every single episode of "What's My Line"! (I love 'um Lava!!) There are others but I've bored everyone enough. :-) One things for sure, Steve deserves massive "Kudos" for all his efforts! A "YRT" fan forever... The other "Steve", "ChowDog"

The World At War Intro Theme As a kid growing up I like most young boys was fascinated by war and guns etc. This documentary series by Thames Television UK soon gave me the idea that war was not fun. This in my opinion is still one of the best documentary series and is still as poignant now as it was then. There also was no warning telling you that some scenes may be upsetting.

Tom Dempsey 63 Yard FG Tom Dempsey of the New Orleans Saints kicks a record-setting, 63-yard, game-winning field goal in 1970. Dempsey was born with only half his right foot and a stub for his right arm. The record has since been matched by Jason Elam.

High Noon Anachronism High Noon (1952) is a classic film, but it contains a minor anachronism (an historical mistake in which something from a later era is shown in an incorrect historical setting). Can you spot it in this short clip?

Still Lookin Good Alfred Eisenstaedt of LIFE took the photograph of a sailor kissing a nurse at the Times Square celebration on August 15, 1945, at the end of World War II. The photograph was one of many Eisenstaedt took that day, and he didn’t bother getting the names of anyone. Only after seeing the proofs did he realize that he had captured a decisive moment. On the 50th anniversary of the photograph, the couple was identified as Edith Shain and Carl Muscarello. . .
