Frank Caday aka Sam Drucker Passes at Age 96 Frank Cady, 96, a character actor who played Hooterville general store proprietor Sam Drucker on the TV sitcoms "Green Acres" and "Petticoat Junction," died Friday in his home in Wilsonville, Ore., said his daughter, Catherine Turk. No specific cause was given. Like Mr. Haney, Eb Dawson, Hank Kimball and Arnold the Pig, Cady's Sam Drucker was a supporting cast member on "Green Acres" to lawyer Oliver Wendell Douglas and his socialite wife, Lisa, played by Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor, who had ditched the high life in New York City for the charms of a farm in Hooterville.

Charms Blow Pops Commercial Early 1990s It goes in the 90's section due to Popularity with Kids in the 90's. I know you can still buy Blow Pops everywhere (thank God for that), but between the clothes and the silly props, I feel like they just donít make commercials like this anymore. Also, just like with Mentos, the idea of Blow Pops was so much more awesome back then than it is now. I mean, a lollipop that ended in gum? It doesnít get much better than that

Forgotten Term - College Widow Here's a term that has virtually vanished from the English language: "college widow." Originally it had a very literal meaning. It referred to a youthful widow who sought the company of college men to satisfy her lusty ways. Eventually the term morphed into meaning any older female who 'preyed upon' the willing males at a campus with her irresistible feminine wiles. The term was so common in the 1920s and 1930s that it was the title of both a play and a movie. In the play, a college dean convinces his comely daughter to use her charms to distract a rival school's football team. (What a wonderful example of fatherhood!) Most people today are only familiar with the term from seeing the Marx brothers' 1932 movie Horse Feathers. Few people today realize Horse Feathers is actually a parody of the 1927 silent movie The College Widow. In it Thelma Todd uses her obvious charms to seduce all four Marx brothers as part of a silly plot to steal Huxley College's football plays.
