This is the second part of the interview given by longtime What's My Line panelist Bennett Cerf to journalist Robin Hawkins on January 23, 1968. It was part of an oral history project focusing on famous New Yorkers. (The sound occasionally fades in and out.) Again, Bennett provides some interesting anecdotes about his WML colleagues.

What's My Line fans--you'll enjoy this! This is the first part of a 1968 Bennett Cerf interview with journalist Robin Hawkins. Cerf tells the story of how he became a regular WML panelist in 1950. He is surprisingly candid about some of his old WML colleagues.

Actress Terry Moore is the mystery challenger on this episode of What's My Line from March 20, 1955. (Listen for Bennett Cerf's question about ejaculations! Judging by the audience's lack of guffaws, that word must have had a different meaning in 1955!)

Nearly 900 episodes of the classic Sunday night CBS version of What's My Line were made between 1950 and 1967. Host John Daly only missed four of them. This song was used as the theme for the Norm MacDonald comedy The Norm Show, a 1999-2001 sitcom. For us up here in Canada, it was a big hit in 1980. Singer Doug Bennett passed away in 2004. Catchy tune. Hope you like it!

Movie producer Michael Todd, one of Elizabeth Taylor's 437 husbands, appears as a mystery challenger on What's My Line on February 17, 1957. (Watch Bennett Cerf do a masterful job of narrowing down the field--only to guess the wrong movie producer!)
