It all started for an unlucky Architect, David Vincent who was looking for a shortcut that he never found.
On that fateful night, he saw something that would change his World forever.....and maybe ours too.
The aliens are here and they have these physical differences:
No Pulse - Don't Bleed - No Heart Beat - Some Have No Emotion - Pure Oxygen Kills Them -
Strange Xray When Taken - Some Have a Deformed Small Finger. Repeated in the UK in the late 70s or early 80s.

One of my favorite movies, and Jedwgrn's recent trivia compilation showing Gort the Robot, made me think of the ending of this movie where "Klaatu" speaks to the scientist and others in Washington warning them to maintain peace or suffer the consequences of things like Gort! The original movie in my opinion is way better than the 2008 remake with Keanu Reeves. Even the spaceship looked better in the original than the remake! Now if we could just get some real "Gorts" to maintain the peace on this planet today!

This man spent most of his life in obscurity, and wasn't famous until after he decided to retire. He took his first Social Security check, and with it, invested in himself, and started a business. He sold it eventually, and he's long gone now, but this business brand is still around today.

Ideal Toys introduced Clancy in 1962 and sales took off! Even grouchy old coots would crack a smile watching Clancy in action!!! Toss a coin in Clancy's hat and he'll skate towards you, or you could hold his hand and he'd skate as you walked along. Another GREAT Ideal toy. Like the jingle says, "It's a Wonderful Toy, It's IDEAL!"

An Ideal Classic that was so popular that Ideal adopted Mr. Machine as their official logo! This toy was designed by Marvin Glass a freelance toy designer and he fashioned Mr. Machine after a henpecked husband. He squawks as he walks. You could take Mr. Machine apart and even though they say it was desinged for a 5 year to do, many a Mr. Machine laid in pieces only to be tossed out by parents who couldn't figure out how to put him back together either. I repair and take apart old toys to clean them and I had one heck of a some fun putting him back together-NOT! LOL. There were two variations of Mr. Machine that came out in the 70s and one in the 80s, but nothing compares to the original Mr. Machine!!!! His orginal box is shown too!

A mint in the box Remco Whirlybird. Remco made many variations of this whirlybird. This is the Monkey Division variation. Monkey Division was a line of toys Remco made and touted it as their "Guerilla War" line of toys. The had helmets, guns, rifles, bazookas, etc. Another wildly popular 60s toy put out during the Vietnam era. Toys glorifying war began to wane when the reports of scores of soliders getting killed filled our TV screens and the "Living Room War" we viewed on the news became unpopular, also it was more fun to make Love not War and the hippie era was ushered in. Parents began to object to toys glorifying war. The set also came with 25 soldiers, a tank, a jeep and truck. The whirlybird also carried all the stuff and had a working cargo hoist too. You are looking at a rarity. The soliders etc. are not shown but are still in their original package. I've often wondered how some of these toys these toys remain unplayed with? Perhaps it is old store stock and I've also heard that sometimes parents would leave the room of a deceased child the way it was when they passed. That is kind of creepy to me.
