This title sequence and a few select scenes should bring back great memories of this film. It was an instant success and made a fortune at the boxoffice. One of the few films of that time actually made with no sex or profanity, the cast included Spencer Tracy, Jonathan Winters, Mickey Rooney, Buddy Hackett, Sid Ceasar, Dick Shawn,Ethel Merman, Milton Berle, Terry Thomas, and many more top comedians of our generation.

Song "I Finally Found Someone" by Barbra Streisand and Bryan Adams. Nowadays, Hollywood fans have regarded Hepburn's lifelong romance with Spencer Tracy as an example of true love even though they never married. Although there must have been true love between them, their romance was far from being a Cinderella story. For most of the years that she spent with him, he was also an alcoholic, at times launching abusive rants before blacking out. For years at a time, Hepburn would help him dry out, arranging her professional life around his needs……..Near the end of Tracy's life Hepburn all but quit working to nurse him through repeated illnesses."
Hepburn defended her affair saying, "We just passed 27 years together, in what was to me absolute bliss." And how did Tracy feel about their romance? Believe it or not, it seems he never talked about it because he refused to admit it actually existed. Even when Hepburn rushed to his side when he was hospitalized before he passed on, Tracy referred to her as a wonderful friend. Tracy never allowed the two of them to be photographed together except for a movie they both starred in. We are told that the reason for this is that Tracy was a devout Catholic and was married to another woman, had children and did not want to offend his children, or wife. The love relationship of Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy was an example of both heartbreak and true love.

This got stuck in my head for weeks when I first heard it. Flower power and hippy values were in, with a little help from a well used plant.

On December 12, 1970 Brian Spencer was elevated from the minor leagues to the Toronto Maple of Leafs of the NHL. Prior to the Leafs' game versus Chicago, Spencer phoned his father, Roy, in British Columbia to tell him the good news and advise him to watch that evening's Hockey Night In Canada broadcast on CBC television. When the elder Spencer attempted to watch the game, though, he discovered the CBC affiliates in British Columbia were showing the Vancouver Canucks' home game versus California instead of his son's game from Toronto. Incensed, Roy drove 85 miles to the nearest CBC affiliate in Prince George, BC. Threatening several employees at gunpoint, he demanded the station switch its coverage from the Canucks' game to Leafs' game. The station complied. However, when Roy Spencer attempted to leave the television station, he got into a gun battle with police and was shot and killed. The feisty Brian Spencer spent nearly a decade in the NHL, but descended into a lifestyle of cocaine addiction afterward. He himself was shot to death at age 38 in a drug deal gone wrong in Florida on June 3, 1988.
