Seals and Crofts are Jim Seals (born James Seals, 17 October 1941, Sidney, Texas) and Dash Crofts (born Darrell Crofts, 14 August 1940, Cisco, Texas), a popular soft rock duo in the early 1970s, best-known for their hits "Summer Breeze" and "Diamond Girl." They were also the most famous Bahá'ís of 1970s in the United States. Seals' younger brother, Dan Seals is also well known as one half of the successful soft rock band in the same time period, England Dan and John Ford Coley.

Here's a sports trivia question to stump your friends: What was the last team in the four major professional sports leagues to fold? Answer: The National Hockey League's Cleveland Barons. The Barons began as the Oakland Seals in 1967. The Seals moved from California to Cleveland in 1976 after nine unsuccessful seasons on the west coast. In Ohio they failed to attract a following in two more unsuccessful seasons. The NHL allowed the Barons to merge with the financially strapped Minnesota North Stars for the 1978-79 season. The Cleveland Barons thus became the first NHL team to fold since 1942.

Here are the first five minutes of a Hockey Night in Canada broadcast from Toronto from February 7, 1970. The Oakland Seals are the visitors who face Toronto at Maple Leaf Gardens. The classic HNIC theme is heard. Two Molson beer commercials are shown. There's opening commentary by host Ward Cornell. P.A. announcer Paul Harris instructs the crowd to rise for the national anthem. An instrumental version of O Canada is played. Play-by-play man Bill Hewitt sets the scene...and the puck is dropped.
