Greek actress Melina Mercouri is the What's My Line mystery challenger in this clip fom October 7, 1962, but she is upstaged when an intruder enters. The 'bad-mannered visitor' was trying to promote a dating service! No charges were laid against this daring chap because he hadn't broken any existing laws.

Nobody dominated the early days of television like Arthur Godfrey. He was immensely popular and immensely powerful. He was especially good at promoting his sponsors' products. He usually did live commercials without a script. Check out this example where he flogs Lipton Soups.
