The Friends Of Mr Cairo This is the title song to an album by Jon and Vangelis. The montage that goes along with this will evoke many a memory and whoever made it, did a darn good job.

Actor Brad Renfro Dies at 25 Actor Brad Renfro, whose career began promisingly with a childhood role in 'The Client', but rapidly faded as he struggled with drugs and alcohol, was found dead Tuesday, January 15th, 2008, in his home. He was 25. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 9 a.m., said Craig Harvey, chief investigator for the Los Angeles County coroner's office. The cause of death was not immediately determined, Harvey said, but an autopsy could be conducted as early as Wednesday. Renfro had reportedly been drinking with friends the evening before his death, Harvey said. His lawyer, Richard Kaplan, said he did not know whether the death was connected to any problems with addiction. 'He was working hard on his sobriety,' Kaplan said. 'He was doing well. He was a nice person.' Renfro recently completed a role in "The Informers," a film adaptation of a Bret Easton Ellis novel that stars Winona Ryder, Brandon Routh and Billy Bob Thornton. 'Brad was an exceptionally talented young actor and our time spent with him was thoroughly enjoyable,' Marco Weber, president of the film's production house, Senator Entertainment, said in a statement. This clip is from the film 'The Cure', which was released in 1995.

Bicycles of the 1970s The blue Rollfast skoot was the best wheelie bike I tried.I used to borrow it off my friends sister the gearing was just right. She was also my 1st love until I told her I didn't like Donny Osmond her idol. She dumped me before I was even loaded! The demise of the muscle bike was the stick shift causing injuries. My problem was the gooseneck raising my voice. When B.M.X. hit the scene they had a pad there Why didn't I think of that?About 15 yrs.ago I bought a 3sp. CHOPPER $5.00 at a garage sale in bad shape called a museum in Chicago for it's value sold it to a local bike store for $150 they reconditioned it and it now hangs from their ceiling. The Grey ghost Schwinn when I last checked yrs.ago was worth several 1000 dollars!I owned a Iverson 5sp. muscle bike desgned by George Barris the custom car designer of Batmobile.Green Hornet,Surf woody,Pink Panther,Chipmunk,Munster Koach,Dragula,Beverly Hillbillies,Monkeemobile,General Lee,Knight Rider,Starsky & Hutch,Banachek,etc...He did not design the DeLorean in back to the future, though most beleive he did.LONG story lonnng my bike is worth(was) over $1000.00 Because of George Barris' role in design.

Featured Member- Lava1964 I was born in a small Canadian city in 1964. I am unmarried. Miss Right has not yet come along. I'm beginning to think she never will. As a kid, I loved acquiring knowledge on a variety of topics, hence my love of trivia. My father got me interested in history by making me watch documentaries when I was eight years old. I am truly grateful he did this. I developed my own passion for sports history. My favorite sports are baseball, boxing, tennis, hockey, football, and soccer. Baseball is far and away my favorite. I live and die with the exploits of the Boston Red Sox. (I was a Red Sox fan long before it became fashionable.) I played fastpitch softball as a kid when that was a popular pastime in Canada. I was a second baseman: Good glove, weak arm, decent contact hitter, not much power. I normally batted second. I have been a softball umpire since 1978. Last time I counted, I had worked over 2,300 games. I've always loved words and the English language. Its possibilities are truly limitless. I modestly say I am a writer of some repute. I began writing pieces for sports encyclopedias at age 19 and really haven't stopped penning sports articles since then. I used to write a weekly sports nostalgia column for a local newspaper. I allegedly had half a million readers at one time. (My column ran for five years before a dim-witted editor took over the sports department and dismissed all the freelance columnists and replaced them with hand-picked toadies. Accordingly, I have put a curse on him and his family. I've had three books on baseball history published. All have received kind reviews. I still write the occasional piece for nostalgia publications. If anyone is really interested in my stuff, I sell collections of my columns on demand. My books are available through mail order from my publisher in North Carolina. I am a tournament Scrabble player and official. I have an expert rating (which I am quite proud of) and I'm usually ranked in the top 40 in Canada. I help run a local club and local tourneys, and, for some reason, I am much in demand to officiate and organize tournaments in many places. Scrabble has allowed me to travel to Las Vegas, Reno, Phoenix, New Orleans, and this summer...Orlando. It's nice work if you can get it. It must be my aptitude for organization which I acquired from both my parents. Scrabble is quite a diverse and odd subculture. Nevertheless, my best friends are Scrabble players. The game helps me retain what is left of my sanity. Along those same lines, I enjoy all competitive endeavors. I always play to win. This is why I love game shows too, I suppose. Occasionally I do real jobs too. I've been a private tutor since 1994. My students think I'm brilliant. I always try to live up to their expectations. I think I have a good sense of humor. It's a hybrid of American and British mirth. I especially love puns. I am cuddly.

Featured Member- Steve I was born a poor black boyÖ..I always wanted to use that in a bio! Can anyone tell us what movie that is a quote from and why it is funny? So many of you are clamoring for my bio so you have to give the public what they want! I was born into a military family so we moved around a lot as young kids, fortunately I had four brothers .We were hardly ever indoors playing with our Man From Uncle toy sets, our play guns, trucks and of course our bikes. I love coming across a posting from our members that stir up the memories from childhood like you Iím sure! I remember the theme to Perry Mason as I was just getting settled for bed, or someone posting a movie that just mom and I watched together, or the memories from high school from a song I had forgotten. After high school I entered the U.S. Navy and served onboard the U.S.S. America (CV-66). After four years with the Navy I worked for the cable company as an installer and left being a line technician within 4 years. I then started my own video production company. Iíve also worked and trained as a professional photographer so those two trades kept me busy until the economy tanked. I currently freelance for the local TV news and look to expand this with other stations and I also am starting a new website for brides, Iíll let you know when this launches. I am married to TerryAnn and we have a 14 year old son Alex and a daughter Catie who is 7 going on 17. We also have two cats named Sonny and Cher (of course!). I started YRTwhen I was frustrated with not find much memorabilia on the internet. Iím sure most of the clips on YRT is on YouTube, but you have to know what you are looking for and often times you have to be very specific in your search. So YRT is all the memories growing up under one roof! I love it when a member posts something I would never think of, itís like seeing an old friend again. Speaking of friends, thatís what makes this site so special, making friends with the members around the world!
