Belushi achieved national fame for his work on Saturday Night Live, which he joined as an original cast member in 1975. Belushi was also known for his drug usage, and it eventually cost him his life. On March 5, 1982 Belushi, age 33, was found at his room at Bungalow #3 of the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. The cause of death was a speedball, an injection of cocaine and heroin. On the night of his death, he was accompanied by friends Robin Williams and Robert De Niro (at the height of their own drug exploits). . .

ah, don't u miss a good ol' family restaurant where u could get a booth OR sit at the counter and be entertained! The Mission is a classic California Coffee Shop in an area starved for Time Machines. Very affable Hispanic staff and good food. Everything you would want in a good old Coffee Shop. Good place to stop going or coming from points East of Los Angeles [888 West Mission Boulevard, Pomona, CA 91766-1443 (909) 629-6412]

Trailer to "Sunset Boulevard" directed by Billy Wilder, starring William Holden, Gloria Swanson, Erich von Stroheim, Cecil B. DeMille & Buster Keaton. Joe Gillis, an unsuccessful screenplay writer, escapes the finance men who are trying to reclaim his car by driving into the garage of an old mansion on Sunset Boulevard. Assumed to be someone else, he is led by Max the butler to the mansion's owner, silent film star Norma Desmond. Wishing to make a comeback, she hires him to rewrite her "Salome" script, then falls in love with him. Joe moves into the mansion as a kept man. Secretly, Joe is collaborating with a pretty young screenplay editor, Betty Schaefer, on another idea. Though she is engaged to his best friend, Artie Green, an assistant director, Betty falls in love with Joe. When Betty finds out about Norma, she asks him to leave Norma for her, but Joe can't unsettle her life, too. He decides, instead, to leave Hollywood. As he is leaving, a crazed Norma tries to stop him. I adore William Holden, he's simply gorgeous.

The Chicago-born daughter of an army officer, she became the wife of Wallace Beery
who talked Mack Sennett into hiring her along with him in 1916.
She became a top silent film star and later came out of retirement in 1950
to virtually star as herself in the classic "Sunset Boulevard."

This is the famous final scene of Sunset Boulevard (1950). Insane has-been silent film star Norma Desmond (Gloria Swanson) is about to be arrested for the murder of screen-writer Joe Gillis (William Holden, who is heard in the voice-over in this scene). With newsreel cameras and reporters there to record the event, Desmond's devoted butler (Erich von Stroheim) convinces Desmond it's just a movie scene in her fantasized comeback. Creepy and compelling at the same time!
