although this pic didn't come from the I LOVE LUCY show (it's obviously a publicity shot) i still like it a lot. And now, a little "I LOVE LUCY" TRIVIA:
*It was the first to tape before a live audience.
*Fred and Ethel's bickering relationship didn't require much acting; in real life Vivian Vance and William Frawley didn't care for each other at all.
*Did you know that the original names for the Ricardos would have been Lucy and Larry Lopez? In the lost pilot episode, the voiceover says "You are about to see the pilot episode of the show that was almost I Love Lopez."
*In the episode entitled "Lucy is Enceinte". .if you look carefully at the beginning, Lucy is reading McCall's Magazine, and "I LOVE LUCY" is on the cover.

Here's the story behind that group now known as Ricci, Desi and Billy. Ricci Martin, Desi Arnaz Jr. and Billy Hinsche were old friends, who grew up together in Beverly Hills, California. Their common bond was the music they made. Ricci, Desi & Billy is their newly formed musical group featuring original material as well as the songs of 60's musical teen sensations Dino, Desi & Billy (Desi & Billy's former group). Though this is a new configuration of the original band, the last names remain the same - Martin, Arnaz and Hinsche. The idea for this group came at a benefit for the late Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys, which was held at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. Desi and Billy performed a song which Desi had written called "My Old friend" in honor of their friend and partner Dean Paul Martin (Dino) who died in a plane crash while flying for the California National Guard in 1987. Ricci performed his hit single, "Stop, Look Around" from his critically acclaimed album "Beached", co-produced by Carl Wilson and Billy Hinsche. There was such a powerful, magical feeling that night, that Ricci, Desi and Billy decided to form a trio.

I Love Lucy At The 6th Annual Emmy Awards!
In these excerpts from the earliest existing Emmy Awards telecast, Vivian Vance accepts the Emmy for Best Series Supporting Actress (from none other than Lucy's former radio co-star Richard Denning) and then Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz accept the Emmy awarded to I Love Lucy as the Best Situation Comedy of 1953.
("I love Lucy" received no awards for comedy writing that evening. AT that time, the Academy had not yet decided to award Emmys for writing)

I've looked all over for this scene and finally found it. Made in 1954, Nicky (Arnaz) and Tacy Collini (Ball) are going to be married. Nicky wants to save up money for a house, but Tacy dreams of starting off with their own home on wheels...a trailer. After the two are hitched, they hitch up their trailer and begin their honeymoon. The humor comes from several disastrous adventures they have while traveling, including Tacy's awkward attempt to cook dinner in a moving trailer, and a cliffhanging ride through the mountains that nearly destroys their marriage. Lucy was perfect as usual, and I die laughing every time I watch this.

From 1972, teenage heartthrob Donny Osmond performs 'Too Young' on Here's Lucy. He's singing it to...Eve Plumb of The Brady Bunch? In this episode Eve plays Lucy's niece, Patricia, who has a big crush on Donny. Of course Donny is smitten by Lucy's daughter, Kim (Lucy Arnaz). Geez, how did I miss this one when it first aired?

The earlier post I made of Donny Osmond on Here's Lucy seemed to go over well, so here's another from that same 1972 episode (titled Lucy and Donny Osmond): Donny and Lucy Arnaz perform a duet of 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again.'
