My Dad asked me to watch this 'old' movie with him . . i thought it would suck! I mean, it had this lame-looking 'spaceman' with his protector, Gort. Boy was i wrong! This classic stars Michael Rennie, Patricia Neal, Hugh Marlowe, and Sam Jaffe and tells the story of a humanoid alien who comes to Earth to warn its leaders not to take their conflicts into space, or they will face lethal consequences (it even has "Aunt Bee" from the Andy Griffiths Show!!)

It all started for an unlucky Architect, David Vincent who was looking for a shortcut that he never found.
On that fateful night, he saw something that would change his World forever.....and maybe ours too.
The aliens are here and they have these physical differences:
No Pulse - Don't Bleed - No Heart Beat - Some Have No Emotion - Pure Oxygen Kills Them -
Strange Xray When Taken - Some Have a Deformed Small Finger. Repeated in the UK in the late 70s or early 80s.

Are you ready for a really BAD movie? In 1959, on a shoe-string budget, director Tom Graeff produced, wrote, filmed, edited and had a starring role in his movie 'Teenagers from Outer Space', which was released as a double feature with the second Godzilla film 'Gigantis, the Fire Monster, and was shown mostly at drive-ins. Tom's boyfriend, Chuck Roberts, under the stage name of David Love, is one of a "gang of spaced-out teens" sent to Earth to prepare the way for a lobster-like race of invaders. When one of the 'delinquents', Derek (David Love), falls for an Earth girl, the others hunt him down with ray-guns. All the while, the alien monster grows so large it can attack the nearby town. Would you be honest enough to admit if you actually paid good money to see this?

This show aired from 67-68 and was cancelled after one and a half seasons. A pre-Internet urban legend (of the missing show kind) has circulated about a hypothetical final episode of the original series. According to that, David Vincent finally manages to convince the authorities and the mainstream of the Invaders' plans, and a massive invasion attempt is successfully thwarted. However, the final scene shows Vincent speaking through a transmitter to a different species of space invaders, to tell them that the coast was now clear. I like this idea of Vincent's fight having taken place in his position as a mercenary of the second alien race. Sounds like an idea Rod Serling would have come up with!

Clara Gordon Bow was born in Brooklyn, New York (1905). Her early life was marred by poverty, mental illness (her mother was schizophrenic) and violence. Her mother slit Clara's throat in a rage over her decision to pursue a film career.
During the early 1920s, Clara won a magazine beauty contest which led to a successful screen test. Her film career spanned eleven years from 1922 to 1933. During that time, Bow made 56 films. In 1928, she was the highest paid screen actor making $35,000 per week.
With her nasal tone and heavy Brooklyn accent, her career began to decline with the advent of sound. Bow's career was damaged further by several highly publicized lawsuits for alienation of affection. She was also plagued by mental health problems that lead to repeated institutionalization throughout the remainder of her life.
She died of a heart attack at age 60 in West Hollywood. . .
