From way back in 1981. I think this is best version of this song. Betty Buckley and Elaine Page were great, but Barbra absolutely blows me away. Its like she was meant to sing this song.

If you love this movie, like I do, may I suggest you check out THE GREAT ZIEGFELD to see the real Fanny Brice in action. She doesn't show up until about 1hr 45 but she really is amazing. After watching it, you appreciate Barbra Streisand's work in this picture even more.
I only wish I could have seen Barbra doing this on the stage production, my life would have been complete~

Barbara always takes me to a place so far away. I get nostalgic when I hear her sing... I feel wonderful and bright and sad and cheerful and I want to laugh --I want to cry... I'm so nuts about her...! I just adore her and I will love this singer until the day I die. If it's the very last music I hear, I'll die happy!

After searching everywhere for even one clip of Our Miss Brooks, I finally found one! I don't know how many will remember this show, but I'm sure everyone remembers Richard Crenna, who played Walter Denton. This show became a real classic, and its comedy is timeless. This episode first aired on November 7, 1952. Walter invents a new type of clear paint that is great for fixing cracks and scratches in walls. Mr. Conklin orders Miss Brooks to fix up his office after Mr. Stone, the head of the board, notices how beat up the office is. Mr. Boynton decides to help Connie and Walter paint Mr. Conklin's office with Walter's new invention.
