1970s / 1973 World Series - Tom Seaver Strikes Out Side
From Game #3 of the 1973 World Series at Shea Stadium: Tom Seaver of the New York Mets strikes out all three Oakland Athletics he faces in the top of the fifth inning. Curt Gowdy calls the game while Tony Kubek provides analysis. The A's won the game 3-2 in 11 innings. This game also featured the last MLB appearance of Willie Mays (not included in this clip). He failed to get a hit in a pinch-hitting role.
