Teofilo Stevenson Bigoraphy Earlier I posted a clip of famed Cuban amateur boxer Teofilo Stevenson flattening an overmatched Brazilian opponent at the 1975 Pan-American Games. Here is a British documentary that highlights Stevenson's fabulous Olympic career.

Lightning fast hands a fight with Ali would have been interesting.

Stevenson was also very skillful at towing the line and saying exactly what the Cuban government wanted him to say. I suspect if he truly had the chance, Stevenson would have jumped at the chance to fight professionally.

Having said that, the pro boxing game is considerably different from the amateur game. Longer fights require more endurance. Still, it would have been interesting to watch Stevenson as a pro. He would have been competitive, I'm sure. Sadly, we never got the chance.
