Yes, Eric, Johansson's career continued after this devastating knockout. In fact, he fought Patterson a third time. Patterson won the see-saw contest in which both men were knocked down. Johansson's last fight was in England in 1963 when he won a controversial decision against Brian London. He retired from the ring at the age of 31.
