That's awesome! But things have gone full circle, and young people today wouldn't know how to use a rotary dial.

I remember seeing a film like this in school (circa 1956) when our phone system was updated with rotary service. Before that, you'd pick up the receiver (no dial) and a female voice would say, Operator. If I wanted to call my dad at work, I'd just tell her the number: Six.

If I wanted to call my grandmother in another state, the operator would tell me to hang up and she'd call me back when the connection was made -- maybe 20 minutes later!
