Barry Bonds sure didn't get the publicity that Hammerin Hank got when he broke the home run record.
Do you feel Bond's record should hold?

So far as I can tell, Barry Bonds is the only athlete in the history of team sports to have his best years in his late thirties. His hat size has grown from a seven to an eight since 1986 and his shoe size has grown from 10-1/2 to 13. One has to conclude that he used steroids, human growth hormones, and Lord knows what else to become baseball's walking chemistry set. He will never be anything but a drug-cheat to me.

There is so much controversy surrounding Bonds. What is interesting is that Ruth was a man of excess, in weight, smoking and drinking. Can you imagine what we could have been? Often times he would show up to games hung over.

The record should hold, but there will always be a question mark regarding the record. Only time will tell if Barry used steroids.

I agree wholeheartedly. As far as I'm concerned, Maris still holds the single season mark, Aaron the career mark.
