When I was in New Orleans a few years ago the locals commented on my funny accent. I guess it all depends on what you're used to hearing.

I agree Barney Fife was being hypocritical here. Where I live we have tough 'distracted driving' laws that prohibit talking on cell phones or texting while driving. Those laws are good and necessary. However, they don't seem to apply to the communication systems used by police, cab drivers, bus drivers, or municipal government vehicles. Marty has a good point: What's good for the goose...
