I still miss Bill Bixby. It's said that during the series run, he and Brandon Cruz became very close, and shortly after Bixby died, Brandon named his own son Lincoln Bixby Cruz.

Brandon retired from acting in 1980, when he was 18, and began concentrating on music and changing his squeaky clean image of little Eddie Corbett. He fronted a hardcore punk band from Oxnard called Dr. Know, and later joined the Dead Kennedys as lead vocalist, replacing Jello Biafra. He quit the Dead Kennedys in 2003. Cruz rejoined Dr. Know, and continues to perform, with a new CD in the works.

I've chatted to Brandon online.
He's quite abrupt, but it was a buzz talking with him.

I thought Bill Bixby was a very sincere pure person.

I didn't get that about Fred McMurray.
As it turned out I was very, very corect.

I vaguely remember a story about Bill Bixby that realy showcases his natural humor. IIRC, he was being treated for cancer and it was some type of experimental drug. He was laying on a table and the doctor told him that he was going to begin the injection and if he felt anything unusual to let him know. Well, the doctor began the injeciton and Bixby arched his back a little, moaned, crossed his eyes and pretended to pass out. The doctor and staff went nuts. Bixby then opened his eyes and said Gotcha or something like that.

I don't know if I have all the details right, but that was point is the man loved humor. So much so that even when faced with his own death, he could still make people laugh.

I miss that guy alot too.
