At the Gym with Paul Orndorff - 1984 Now for something a little bit different: When pro wrestling was somewhat believable in the early 1980s, my favorite 'heel' was the arrogant Paul (Mr. Wonderful) Orndorff. In this mini feature from 1984, Mr. Wonderful lowers his lofty personal standards to help some 'common people' with their workouts at a gym.

I wonder if he is now soft and saggy like Arnold Schwarzenegger today?

Typical of many wrestlers, Paul Orndorff sustained many injuries. According to is Wikipedia biography, Orndorff was forced to retire in 1995 due to his previous injuries in the WWF, with the entire right side of his body beginning to atrophy (eventually causing his arm and leg muscles to shrink). It was something he had worked through as best he could, but by the end of 1995 Orndorff was forced to retire and started to work as a trainer and a road agent for WCW. In 2001 he announced he was diagnosed with cancer, but later that same year he announced he was cancer-free. Orndorff made an appearance at a 2014 WWE event to celebrate Hulk Hogan's 61st birthday. He was clad in a robe so his physique was not visible. He was sporting a huge Yosemite-Sam-type mustache and was not readily recognized by fans.
