Twisted Sister is an American heavy metal band from New York City. Their work fuses the shock tactics of Alice Cooper, the rebellious mood of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, the style of the New York Dolls, and the extravagant makeup of KISS...and they're a HOOT to look at!!

And this is a cheap one!! Commercial microwaves were another story!! . . . "in 1947, the first commercial microwave oven hit the market. These primitive units where gigantic and enormously expensive, standing 5 1/2 feet tall, weighing over 750 pounds, and costing about $5000 each."

Las Vegas is very lucky to still have three drug store lunch counters . . i'd be happier with this, if it didn't have a microwave!

I got a good laugh out of this one. Notice the sinister look and the fingernails on the Commie that looks like Joseph Stalin. Don't pirate MP3s or else the Commies will come and take away your cell phones, Salad Shooters and Microwave Ovens!

Linda Richman's (Mike Myers) hero was Barbra Streisand. She constantly "dedicated" the show to her, often claiming her to be the greatest actress in all of history. In what could be considered to be the sketch's most memorable moment, Myers was joined by two special guests Madonna and Roseanne Barr as two other Jewish women (and they were authentic, take my word!). They discussed Streisand's movie, The Prince of Tides, on the show. Near the end of the sketch, the women compared Barbra to "buttah"-and suddenly, a voice announced, "All this talk about food, I'm getting hungry, girls." It was Streisand herself in a surprise appearance; none of the actors had any idea that she was to appear. All three managed to remain in character as the audience went wild. Though Streisand only stayed long enough to give each character a kiss and wave to the audience, the moment has become one of the most memorable in the show's history.

i would much rather celebrate the life and beauty of Sharon Tate than focus on the terrible end of her life. . . she made just a few films during her brief career, including DON'T MAKE WAVES (1967; with Tony Curtis and Dave Draper), EYE OF THE DEVIL (1967; with Deborah Kerr),and my personal favorite VALLEY OF THE DOLLS (1967; with Susan Hayward and Patty Duke), and THE WRECKING CREW (1969; with Dean Martin and Tina Louise). She was only 26 years old when she was murdered in August 1969. BEVERLY HILLBILLIES fans will recall Tate from her recurring role as Janet Trego from 1963 to 1965...

The classiest game show ever to grace the airwaves was What's My Line. In this 1959 episode Jack Benny is the mystery guest. Hilarity ensues. Why can't TV be this good nowadays?

Lava's clip from My Fair Lady reminded me of the night in 1977, when I took my mom to see Yul Brynner live in The King and I at the Miami Beach Theatre of the Performing Arts. We were fortunate enough to have great seats a couple of rows behind the orchestra, and had a perfect view of the stage. I'd seen Yul Brynner hundreds of times on the screen, but never in person. He was magnificent! Such a handsome man, and his stage presence just blew me away, my mom was in heaven as well! Mrs Anna Leonowens was played by Constance Towers, who years later played Helena Cassadine in General Hospital. After the play, when the audience was leaving, we ran back to where the stage door was on the side of the building just in time to see him get into his Limousine. As it drove right by us I could see him and I waved like crazy, and he waved back with that wonderful handsome smile! I'll never forget that as long as I live.
