this is a 1919, comic strip re-print book. .i had NO IDEA it had been around this long:
"Bringing Up Father" was a comic strip created by George McManus that ran from January 12, 1913 to May 28, 2000. Most readers, however, called it Maggie and Jiggs, after its two main characters.
The strip was about an Irishman named Jiggs living in the United States who comes into wealth but still wants to keep his old pals, eat corned beef and cabbage (sometimes called Jiggs dinner), and hang out at the tavern, much to the consternation of his wife, Maggie, a social climber.

I Dream of Jeannie was a popular American sitcom with a fantasy premise. Produced by Screen Gems, it aired from 1965 to 1970 on NBC. The show starred Barbara Eden as a genie, and Larry Hagman as an astronaut who becomes her master, with whom she falls in love and eventually marries...i wanted to have a bedroom that looked like her bottle!

ah, don't u miss a good ol' family restaurant where u could get a booth OR sit at the counter and be entertained! The Mission is a classic California Coffee Shop in an area starved for Time Machines. Very affable Hispanic staff and good food. Everything you would want in a good old Coffee Shop. Good place to stop going or coming from points East of Los Angeles [888 West Mission Boulevard, Pomona, CA 91766-1443 (909) 629-6412]

An action packed cartoon that I watched on Saturday mornings in the 60s while eating my bowl of Crap N' Crunch cereal! What ever became of Johnny Quest, Dr. Benton Quest, Race Bannon and Hadji? Little did they know what the future had in store for them.
Poor Dr. Quest died in prison after being convicted of the illegal use of nuclear material in direct violation of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Race Bannon is now suffering from brain damage after taking one too many blows to the head, is in a nursing home and has to have this Depends changed hourly; and sadly, poor Johnny Quest lost his job and it was sent to India due to corporate greed, Americans wanting more money for doing less work and the flood of illegal immigrants from Mexico coming to the United States. Distraught, Johnny Quest had no choice but to immigrate to India to find work where he now works for Hadji at a Calcutta call center owned by an American company validating rebates for Salad Shooters for a few Rubles a day. Bandit is in doggy heaven after dying of natural causes in 1974.

This is a Sony TC-630 reel to reel tape player. I had one of them back in the mid '70s. I bought it so that I could record a two man group that my buddy and I had. He played a 12 string guitar and I played a harmonica and the drums, (not at the same time... I wasn't that coordinated.) For those of you who might have had one of these wonderful machines you'll remember that it had what Sony called "Sound on Sound" capabilities. Simply put, that meant that after you had made a recording you could go back to whatever point you wanted to and record something else on top of what you had just recorded, without erasing your original recording. What I would do is record my friend and I playing a song, with me on my harmonica, usually playing something by John Denver. When we were through I would go back to the beginning of the song and using headphones, listen to what we had just recorded while playing my drums using the Sound on Sound function.
When we would play back the recording it would play everything just as if we had three members in the group! What a great machine this was! It weighed about a zillion pounds, though.
