Remembering Walter Brennan and Old Rivers This song is home to Walter Brennan's famous line, "One of these days, I'm gonna climb that mountain" - repeated by most all the impersonators when they are doing a vocal impression of Brennan's unmistakable voice. Mr. Brennan won 3 Oscars as best supporting actor. He was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The single - Old Rivers, was released in 1962.

Waltons Gong Show Act A very creative Gong Show act from 1977: A contestant plays both John-Boy and Grandpa Walton. This was the winning act that day. (The video quality isn't great at some points. Sorry!)

His Love Makes Me Beautiful Funny Girl Barbra Streisand Funny Girl Barbra Streisand as Fanny is now part of the Ziegfeld Follies. She tells Walter Pidgeon as Florenz Ziegfeld, she doesn't want to be in the finale because she finds the lyrics inappropriate but Ziegfeld insists. so the rest is history, in Hollywood - remember what happens as ONLY BABS Could pull off! (BTW, the "pregnant bride" prank never actually happened - according to Jule Styne's widow, the bit was Garson Kanin's idea. And in reality, there's no record of Ziegfeld and Brice ever having had any disputes - they got along famously.)
