During a time when teenagers were doing the jitterbug and Uncle Sam was asking young men to enlist, The Andrews Sisters were America’s most popular female singing group. Patty, the youngest sister, was a loud and energetic blond who headed the group with her confident vocals. The middle sister was Maxene, a brunette, whose harmonic range gave the impression of four voices instead of three. Finally, completing the trio was the eldest, LaVerne, a strong willed red head with a witty sense of humor and an eye for fashion.

Are you ready for a really BAD movie? In 1959, on a shoe-string budget, director Tom Graeff produced, wrote, filmed, edited and had a starring role in his movie 'Teenagers from Outer Space', which was released as a double feature with the second Godzilla film 'Gigantis, the Fire Monster, and was shown mostly at drive-ins. Tom's boyfriend, Chuck Roberts, under the stage name of David Love, is one of a "gang of spaced-out teens" sent to Earth to prepare the way for a lobster-like race of invaders. When one of the 'delinquents', Derek (David Love), falls for an Earth girl, the others hunt him down with ray-guns. All the while, the alien monster grows so large it can attack the nearby town. Would you be honest enough to admit if you actually paid good money to see this?

Whiz Kids was a television series which aired from 5 October 1983 to 2 June 1984 in the United States. The show was about the adventures of a group of teenagers who worked as amateur computer experts and detectives. The show was basically a copy of ideas from WarGames, toned down and expanded for TV.
The series starred Max Gail as the group's mentor. The cast also included Matthew Laborteaux as Richie Adler, Dan O'Herlihy, Todd Porter as Hamilton Parker and Andrea Elson as Alice.
Richie Adler lived with his mother and sister - his father worked away from home. Periodically, Richie's father would send him obsolete pieces of electronic and computer equipment including in one episode, a programmable robot called Herman. Richie collected these pieces of equipment from his father and connected them together to form "RALF" - his pet name for his computer system which included, in one episode, a primitive webcam.
The show was based on Richie and his friends coming across mysteries which they (mainly Richie) would attempt to solve using his computer skills with RALF's power. Guidance was provided by Farley (their mentor).
The series aired on CBS. Initially, it aired Wednesday nights, but it began airing Saturday nights on 7 January 1984, replacing Cutter to Houston.
