Suzanne Lenglen France's Suzanne Lenglen was pretty much invincible in women's tennis in the 1920s, losing only one match of significance in singles from 1914 through 1926. She ruled the sport when the major tournaments were amatuer events only. This photo of Lenglen was taken at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp, Belgium. Considered a sex symbol in her heyday, Lenglen turned professional after 1926 and played a series of exhibition matches in the United States that didn't draw very good crowds because Lenglen so outclassed her competition. She died of leukemia in 1938 when she was only 39 years old.

Charlie Rich and the Blues Charlie passed away in July of 1995. Here are two songs I put together that are my personal favorites, and I hope yours as well. I think they show how much soul he put into his music. I could so easily get lost in those gorgeous sexy blue eyes!

Alpo Commercial 1974 Judging by the macho-jerk guy in this clip, this looks like one of those sexist Folger's coffee commercials from the early 1960s, but it's an Alpo dog food commercial from 1974.

Do You Remember Her This is a recent photo of former Russian tennis sexpot Anna Kournikova. Now 27, Anna hasn't officially retired, but she hasn't played too often in the past five years. For some mysterious reason, she was very popular among male fans and television viewers even though she never won a singles title.

Stella Walsh Gender Controversy Stella Walsh was one of the first female Olympic heroes--but she could never shake the accusations that she was really a man. The masculine-looking Walsh was born in Poland in 1911 and came to the United States before her first birthday. Naturally gifted at sports, she won track and field contests sponsored by a Cleveland newspaper that were supposed to lead to a place on the 1928 American Olympic team. However, the immigration laws of the era said Walsh could not become an American citizen until the age of 21. She toured her homeland in the early 1930s and became hugely popular. She competed for Poland at the 1932 summer Olympics in Los Angeles and won gold in the women's 100 metres. At the 1936 Olympics she finished second to Helen Stephens, who, ironically, had to undergo a medical examination to prove she was a female. In November 1980, television station WKYC was heavily criticized for airing a story that questioned Walsh's gender. A month later the 69-year-old Walsh was murdered in a botched armed robbery at a Cleveland mall. Through a court order, WKYC obtained the coroner's report to vindicate their earlier claims. It said Walsh had male sex organs, no female sex organs, and both XX and XY pairs of chromosomes.

Another Sexist Folgers Ad You've got to love these old Folger's Coffee commercials from the early 1960s. They're all pretty much the same: Doting wife's biggest concern in life is making the perfect cup of coffee for hubby. She fails miserably until she switches to instant Folger's. Once this crisis is solved, presumably hubby and wife can produce their statistical average of 2.2 children and live the American Dream.
