Just an observation I just realize that the 60's gave us alot of television entertainment that is still carried over to this day. Thanks to TVLand network, My kids are enjoying some of the same tv show reruns that I enjoyed as a kid.I was born in the late 60s so most were reruns for me as well but I still enjoyed them just the same. Thanks TVLand.

Twister here's a little trivia for you! the original name was going to be "Pretzel," but they dropped that when a toy dog came out with the same name! They were also going to use dice, but put the big spinner in at the last moment . . also, Johnny Carson featured the game on the May 3, 1966 episode of the Tonight Show and one of the guests was Eva Gabor in a low cut dress!!

Lysol Douche Ad personally, i wouldn't think that 'douche' and 'lysol' should even be in the same sentence!!! but, i got a kick out of all these old ads that show men leaving their wives because the women don't douche correctly. Or often enough.

Young Frankenstein 1974 Mel Brooks is a comedic genius and this film proves it. It was actually filmed in the same castle as the original Frankenstein classic, and starred Gene Wilder, Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle, Madeleine Kahn,Teri Garr, Cloris Leachman, Kenneth Mars, and Gene Hackman. If you haven't seen it you're missing out on one of the funniest films of our generation.

THE TONIGHT SHOW 10th Anniversary from 1972 pt 2 Here is part 2 of 5 of the 10th anniversary of the Tonight Show, with Johnny Carson, from Oct. of 1972. They built a new set just for this night, which was unique. What was also unique is that all the guests were comedians, except for Gov. Ronald Reagan. You'll see the late Jack Benny, the late Joey Bishop, the late George Burns, and more (including MY MAN, Don Rickles!) Surprisingly good quality, but the audio spikes every once in awhile; it seems this is the only version around of this show, and every copy I've seen has this same audio problem.

Walt Disneys Song of the South 1946 Disney's first live-action movie mixed in animated scenes to tell the stories of kindly ol Uncle Remus, including the tales of Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear … and the Tar Baby. The movie, which had faced accusations that it promoted racial stereotypes and the idea of the slave-slavemaster relationship in a positive light, won a 1947 Best Song Oscar for the song on this clip, Zip a Dee Doo Dah, and was a major cultural force in its day. But it's been on the shelves for half a century and has never been released on home video in the U.S. because of Disney's concerns that depictions in the film viewed in today's world, might not be viewed as kindly or as politically correct. However the studio is currently mulling over the idea of DVD release as soon as 2008. In my opinion, this is a film that made millions of children happy. It was adults who put an end to that. I hope you'll enjoy this with the same sentiments as in which it was posted.

King Zor The Fighting Dinosaur by Ideal Toys Corporation 1962 A cool battery operated from the 60's from Ideal Toy Corporation. King Zor came with a dart gun (not shown)and 5 or 6 darts. You were supposed to shoot King Zor's tail and if you hit it, he'd turn, and fire yellow balls at you. I wouldn't dare shoot his tail now for fear of breaking the it! You can nudge the tail to get the same effect. Oh man, please forgive the filming. This when I started doing toy vids and the TV was on in the background and I was looking through a view finder and trying to make sure Zor didn't fall off of the table, all at the same time. I now use a tri-pod. I will do another in the near future. If any one has this or parts, I need some, especially the box and some darts. Co
