magic roundabout Le Manège enchanté (known in English as The Magic Roundabout) was a children's television programme created in France in 1963 by Serge Danot. Some five hundred five-minute-long episodes were made and were originally broadcast between 1964 and 1971 on ORTF. However, it was in the United Kingdom that the series became best known. The English version was narrated by Eric Thompson, the father of Emma Thompson, and broadcast from 18 October 1965 to January 1977. This version of the show attained cult status, and was watched as much by adults for its dry humour as by the children for whom it was intended.

Thunderbirds Jerry & Sylvia Anderson created this kids show, way back in 1960's and in my opinion, were way ahead of the times. As a kid watching these I used to get annoyed that they were in colour and we only had black & white. Not a thing you see every day SUPERMARIONATION makes you wonder if a certain plumber got his title here? You'll tell me, I know you will and watch out for those strings. Call for International Rescue.

Friendly Giant LOOK UP WAY UP The Friendly Giant was a popular Canadian children's television program that aired from September 1958 through to March 1985. It featured three main characters: a giant named Friendly (played by Bob Homme)who lived in a huge castle, along with his puppet animal friends Rusty (a rooster who played a harp and lived in a book bag hung by the castle window) and Jerome (a giraffe). The two principal puppets were manipulated and voiced by Rod Coneybeare. The Friendly Giant was a wealthy man who paid for and produced the show himself. That is why it is so good. He always had creative control of the show. He made it fun for kids and didn't sell them out.
