US Customs Seize Chocolate Treats From CBC News in Canada: A Winnipeg woman was warned and nearly fined $300 after U.S. customs officials found a Kinder Surprise chocolate egg in her vehicle, which is considered contraband south of the border. U.S. authorities have banned the popular treats because they come with a plastic toy inside that could, if eaten, choke a small child. 'It's just a chocolate egg,' Lind Bird said, who was recently stopped at the U.S. border and selected for a random search. 'They said, 'If you were caught with this across the border you would get charged a $300 fine,' she said. The U.S. takes catching illegal Kinder candy seriously, judging by the number of them they've confiscated in the last year. Officials said they've seized more than 25,000 of the treats in 2,000 separate seizures.

Lawn Darts Remember Lawn Darts? Also known as Jarts or yard darts, they were a popular game at picnics and in backyards during the 1970s and into the 1980s. A typical set consisted of four to eight darts comprised of two different colors along with two plastic rings. The rings were placed a reasonable distance apart and served as targets for the darts. Rules varied from place to place, but the game was scored in a similar fashion to bocce or horseshoe-pitching. A game could be played as a one-on-one singles match or with partners. The metal tips were designed to dig into the lawn when they landed. Of course, they could also dig into somebody's flesh if the darts were thrown recklessly. In December 1988 the sale of the metal-tipped lawn darts was banned in the United States. Canada banned them the following year. Since then, safer forms of 'lawn darts' have proved to be very unpopular with consumers. Quality sets of the metal-tipped lawn darts are prized by collectors.

Omg Squeeze It Commercial 1994 Yes its going here in the 90's section due to its Popularity with Kids of the 90's. Omg Squeeze It Commercial 1994 Squeezit was a fruit-flavored soft drink made by General Mills and marketed from the mid-1980s until the middle of 2001. The drink came in a plastic bottle that the drinker had to squeeze in order to extract the beverage from its container, hence the name. While there are no plans to restart production of squeezeits, an online petition to bring about their return has received over 6,000 signatures. http://www.petitiononline.com/ranger/petition.html I sign it, Won't You?

Bubble Tape 6 Feet of Bubble Gum Commercial 1991 It belongs here in the 90's section do to its Popularity in the 90's for Kids. Bubble Tape is a brand of bubble gum produced by Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, introduced in the late 1980s[1][2]. It experienced its greatest popularity in the early 1990s due to its unique packaging and direct marketing to preteen children ("it's six feet of bubble gum for you, not them"—"them" referring to parents or just adults in general). Today, it is still a common find in most supermarkets, although advertising campaigns for it have subsided significantly. Bubble Tape comes in a small, round, plastic container similar in size to a hockey puck. This contains six feet (1.8 m) of gum wrapped in a spiral. The container functions much like a tape dispenser, although the top half can be removed.

Airfix Spitfire And Bf109 Dogfight Airfix is still one of the companies manufacturing, scale plastic model kits, among others. As a kid in the 60's and 70's I was hooked on building these kits, from boats to planes and all in between. As hobbies goes it seems to be dieing thing now and many a specialist shop has went to the wall making it mostly an online trade nowadays.
