Fargo In 1987, Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy), a car salesman from Minneapolis, Minnesota with financial troubles, hatches a plan to end his financial difficulties. Through his mechanic, a former criminal named Shep Proudfoot, he enlists the service of two hit men, Gaear Grimsrud (Peter Stormare) and Carl Showalter (Steve Buscemi), at a bar in Fargo, North Dakota to kidnap his wife, Jean, who will be returned unharmed for a payment of $80,000. Jerry's secret plan is to tell his wealthy but antagonistic father-in-law, Wade, that the ransom is $1,000,000 intending to use the large difference to settle unspecified debts he has accrued and to invest in a business venture involving a parking lot...another black comedy that i thought was terrific! I also got a kick out of how much and how often the local police chief, heavily pregnant Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand)and her sweet husband, Norm, ate!!

Tool Time Tool Time was the fictitious handyman show-within-a-show in the television situation comedy, Home Improvement. It was hosted by Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor (played by Tim Allen) and Al Borland (played by Richard Karn). The sponsor of Tool Time was Binford Tools, a fictitious tool manufacturing company. <Part of the show's attraction was its token "Tool Time girl", whose primary roles were to look good, be curvaceous, roll out various props and help introduce the two hosts. In the first two seasons, Pamela Anderson played Tool Time girl Lisa. When Pamela left the show, Debbe Dunning stepped in as her replacement, Heidi, who stayed until the show's cancellation. A fictional flashback to the first episode shows Mrs. Binford (most likely the mother of Mr. Binford, due to her age) playing the part of the Tool Time girl. Also in an ironic, but humorous twist, that "first episode" featured Tim with a beard, while Al sported a clean-shaven face, a direct opposite of their normal look. The 100th episode of Home Improvement (which aired in 1994) celebrated Tool Times 5th anniversary, thus revealing that Tool Time debuted in 1989

Sunset Boulevard 1950 Trailer to "Sunset Boulevard" directed by Billy Wilder, starring William Holden, Gloria Swanson, Erich von Stroheim, Cecil B. DeMille & Buster Keaton. Joe Gillis, an unsuccessful screenplay writer, escapes the finance men who are trying to reclaim his car by driving into the garage of an old mansion on Sunset Boulevard. Assumed to be someone else, he is led by Max the butler to the mansion's owner, silent film star Norma Desmond. Wishing to make a comeback, she hires him to rewrite her "Salome" script, then falls in love with him. Joe moves into the mansion as a kept man. Secretly, Joe is collaborating with a pretty young screenplay editor, Betty Schaefer, on another idea. Though she is engaged to his best friend, Artie Green, an assistant director, Betty falls in love with Joe. When Betty finds out about Norma, she asks him to leave Norma for her, but Joe can't unsettle her life, too. He decides, instead, to leave Hollywood. As he is leaving, a crazed Norma tries to stop him. I adore William Holden, he's simply gorgeous.

Americas Sweetheart at 61 Happy Birthday to Sally Field! Sally is the daughter of actress Margaret Field and step-father Jock Mahoney, also an actor as well as a stuntman. Sally managed to finish high school, but early on it was clear she would follow in her parents' footsteps, and she soon got the lead role in the 1965 TV series "Gidget", quickly followed by "The Flying Nun" which ran from 1967-1970. American was in love with her wholesome, girl-next-door persona. The role that got Sally noticed as a more serious dramatic actress, was her portrayal of the title character in the TV movie Sybil, a woman suffering from a multiple personality disorder. The part won her an Emmy in the Best Actress category in 1976. Hollywood now saw Sally Field as more than just a pretty face. She had raw talent they were more than happy to exploit. But Sally didn't altogether abondon her comedic side and proved this by starring opposite Burt Reynolds in the two Smokey And The Bandit films. Nevertheless, her best work came through in dramatic roles, and Sally went on to win Oscars in the Best Actress category for both Norma Rae and Places In The Heart. Aside from acting, she has also produced and directed several projects for television, including directing an episode of the acclaimed mini-series, From The Earth To The Moon. Sally has two sons from her first marriage, Peter and Eli. And Samuel, from her second marriage.
