Tic Tac Dough Here's a game show I liked to watch: Tic Tac Dough. Hosted by Wink Martindale, it was a remake of the 1950s game show of the same name. It was basically Hollywood Squares without the celebrities and the wisecracks. Here's a clip from 1979. Does anyone else think the questions are ridiculously easy?

Chepstow Caer Cymru If there is a castle that comes close to matching Harlech Castle in historical importance, that castle is surely Chepstow. Chepstow is a Norman castle perched high above the banks of the river Wye in southeast Wales. Construction began at Chepstow in 1067, less than a year after William the Conqueror was crowned King of England. It was his master castle builder in the person of his loyal Norman lord William FitzOsbern. FitzOsbern's fortresses were the vehicles from which the new king consolidated control of his newly conquered lands. Chepstow Castle became the key launching point for expeditions into Wales, expeditions that eventually subdued the rebellious population. Jerry Lewis on Whats My Line 1956 Here's one for the archives: Jerry Lewis appears as a mystery challenger on What's My Line on July 22, 1956--just two days before the last performance of Martin and Lewis. He handles some delicate questions quite adroitly.

Bobbi Martin - For the Love of Him This topped the charts in 1970. Two years later Helen Reddy had the hit I Am Woman. This song would be doomed today.
