For Sophia i LOVED "DARK SHADOWS," i would come home from school watch some, go stand out on the porch because i was scared and then go in and watch some more!! LOL This pic is from Episode One: Joan Bennett (Elizabeth), Louis Edmonds and Alexandra Moltke. . . if you're not a Dark Shadows fan, the story line was simple at first. It began with Victoria Winters, a woman with a mysterious past, traveling to Collinsport to work for the Collins family as the governess for 9-year-old David. David's father, Roger Collins, also lived at Collinwood, the family mansion, as did Roger's sister, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard and her daughter, Carolyn. Movie actress Joan Bennett headed the cast as Elizabeth, and Louis Edmonds portrayed Roger. Nancy Barrett was Carolyn, Alexandra Moltke played Victoria, and David Henesy was David.

Hogans Heroes pilot intro Only one episode of Hogan's Heroes was ever shot in black-and-white: the pilot episode. Here is the introduction. You'll note a few changes from the later introductions. The pilot episode had a Russian character in it and Sergeant Carter was absent. Once the series began in earnest, the Russian character was ditched and replaced by Larry Hovis' Sgt. Carter. (Hovis had appeared in the pilot episode as a guest character.) This move actually better reflected reality. Russians captured by the Germans were not treated nearly as well as those from other Allied countries. There would have been no Russians in a Luftstalag.

Sunset Boulevard 1950 Trailer to "Sunset Boulevard" directed by Billy Wilder, starring William Holden, Gloria Swanson, Erich von Stroheim, Cecil B. DeMille & Buster Keaton. Joe Gillis, an unsuccessful screenplay writer, escapes the finance men who are trying to reclaim his car by driving into the garage of an old mansion on Sunset Boulevard. Assumed to be someone else, he is led by Max the butler to the mansion's owner, silent film star Norma Desmond. Wishing to make a comeback, she hires him to rewrite her "Salome" script, then falls in love with him. Joe moves into the mansion as a kept man. Secretly, Joe is collaborating with a pretty young screenplay editor, Betty Schaefer, on another idea. Though she is engaged to his best friend, Artie Green, an assistant director, Betty falls in love with Joe. When Betty finds out about Norma, she asks him to leave Norma for her, but Joe can't unsettle her life, too. He decides, instead, to leave Hollywood. As he is leaving, a crazed Norma tries to stop him. I adore William Holden, he's simply gorgeous.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space I first saw this with my kids, and at that time it was laughable yet still a little creepy, especially the officer Mooney (John Vernon) puppet scene. As the years have passed, I've grown to appreciate its dark humor, excellent craftsmanship of clown costumes, and ultra-cheesiness. KKFOS is definitely one of my top five campy horror films of all time.

Jethro dBodine Although not a major character, actress Sharon Tate, who was slain by the Manson Family in 1969, had a recurring role during the early years of the series. Tate appeared in a dark wig as Janet, an assistant to Miss Hathaway at the Commerce Bank.

Suffragette banner 1918 Here's a blast from the past: From 1918, a suffragette's banner insinuates that President Woodrow Wilson is a hypocrite for saying that Germans were not democratically represented under Kaiser Wilhelm's rule while ignoring the fact that American women couldn't vote.

Jayne Mansfield Mickey Rooney I think this clip is from the Golden Globe Awards. Mickey Rooney accepts an award from Jayne Mansfield and gets more than he bargained for.

For Babs Fawlty Towers John Cleese at his comic best. This may offend some, but if anyone can get away with it, Basil can.
