First Issue of Playboy Magazine The first issue, published in December 1953, did not carry a date, as Hefner was unsure whether there would be a second issue. It was produced in Hefner's Hyde Park kitchen. The first centerfold was Marilyn Monroe, although the picture used had originally been taken for a calendar, rather than for Playboy. The first issue was an immediate sensation; it sold out within a matter of weeks. The cover price was 50¢. Copies of the first issue in Mint to Near Mint condition sold for over $5,000 in 2002.

First Barbie Doll The Barbie doll was invented in 1959 by Ruth Handler (co-founder of Mattel), whose own daughter was called Barbara. Barbie was introduced to the world at the American Toy Fair in New York City. The doll was intended to be a teenage fashion doll. There has been some controversy over Barbie's figure when it realized that if Barbie was a real person her measurements would be an impossible 36-18-38. The Ken doll was named after Ruth's son. Barbie first had bendable legs in 1965.

clackers You would put your finger in the ring allowing the marble balls to hang below. Here is where the fun starts. The idea was to get the two balls clacking against each other by pulling up on the ring lightly. a lot of kids in the 70`s ended up in hospital with broken wrists.they where eventually banned. hehehe, health and safety was a lot different back then.

Got Scrubs this milk ad has three of my favorite characters from the sitcom "Scrubs." The show stars Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, Ken Jenkins, and Neil Flynn. "A visit to Sacred Heart Hospital, a fictional teaching hospital, is sure to be a surreal, comedic trip. Expect inner monologues, slapstick situations and occasional musical interludes, all mixed in with poignant scenes of how doctors deal with real medical issues."

Gene Tierney Tierney married twice. Her first marriage to costume and fashion designer Oleg Cassini on July 11, 1941 ended in divorce on February 28, 1952. Her second marriage was to Texas oilman, W. Howard Lee on July 11, 1960 until his death on February 17, 1981. trivia! During the filming of Dragonwyck, she met a young John F. Kennedy, who was visiting the set. They began a romance that ended the following year, when Kennedy told her he could never marry her because of his political ambitions.

Tool Time Tool Time was the fictitious handyman show-within-a-show in the television situation comedy, Home Improvement. It was hosted by Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor (played by Tim Allen) and Al Borland (played by Richard Karn). The sponsor of Tool Time was Binford Tools, a fictitious tool manufacturing company. <Part of the show's attraction was its token "Tool Time girl", whose primary roles were to look good, be curvaceous, roll out various props and help introduce the two hosts. In the first two seasons, Pamela Anderson played Tool Time girl Lisa. When Pamela left the show, Debbe Dunning stepped in as her replacement, Heidi, who stayed until the show's cancellation. A fictional flashback to the first episode shows Mrs. Binford (most likely the mother of Mr. Binford, due to her age) playing the part of the Tool Time girl. Also in an ironic, but humorous twist, that "first episode" featured Tim with a beard, while Al sported a clean-shaven face, a direct opposite of their normal look. The 100th episode of Home Improvement (which aired in 1994) celebrated Tool Times 5th anniversary, thus revealing that Tool Time debuted in 1989
