My Three Sons opening credits This familar TV theme ought to bring back memories. This happens to be the opening of the first-ever My Three Sons episode, in 1960. The show ran an amazing 12 years and went through many cast changes. The pre-1965 black and white episodes are seldom seen these days. My favorite cast member was the beautiful Tina Cole who played Katie. She was adorable! Whatever became of her?

Featured Member Naomi I’m a transplanted yankee from the Bensonhurst area of Brooklyn NY . I’ve lived in Florida since I was 8, when my family dragged my sister and I out of B’kln and down to Miami…..but I’m NOT a Florida Cracker! I’ll be a Yankee until my dying day and proud of it. My blood is comprised of 60% olive oil, and 40% chicken soup. In June of ’65 I graduated from High School and met my husband Larry, who was a radar operator for the USAF, a few months later, and the rest is history..we’ve been married for 43 years and have three great kids: David, Jessica and Kimberly. My first job after graduation was as an operator with Southern Bell , when you could actually dial 0 or 411 and get a live person. Over the years (before I retired) I worked mostly secretarial jobs, my longest being at the University of Florida, and my last being at a correctional facility for youthful offenders. In 1980 I had an editorial column in our local paper, which lasted a few years. I’m mother to a 100 lb golden retriever named Buddy-Beans, a 27 yr old cockatiel named Beeper and at least 500 wild birds and other assorted wildlife that I feed and spoil on 8 ˝ acres that we call “Clackum’s Corner”. Even though I was raised in the city, I love living in the country now and could never go back to the noise. I’ve been an animal lover ever since I was a child, and I’m now referred to by the neighbors as that crazy bird lady. After my family, my greatest pleasures are wildlife photography and writing.

Featured Member- Stacy aka littlegoldwoman My name is Stacy, I'm 41 and I live in Texas. I am the youngest of 5. My siblings were 13, 14, 19 and 24 when I was born. My first five years were filled with the greatest 60s and 70s music around blaring all the time thanks to my then teenage brother and sister. My brother had tons of records and I listened to them every chance I got. I was allowed to stay home alone in the summer when I was around 8-12. The lady next door was my sitter but she let me hang out in my house and would just come check on me. Its was fabulous. I sat around and ate and watched television all summer! My husbands name is Lance and he is in the Tx Army Guard and went to Iraq for a year. We have 3 boys Cody is 21, Trevan is 11 and Grant is 7. We have two dogs Simona and Moose also we have two cockatiels names Jax and Cate. We also have one boring turtle. We had two but Grant put him on the washing machine and the next minute he was gone. As for jobs, I was a cheerleading coach from 1990 until 2007. I owned my own program from 1998 to 2007. I retired in 2007.I was a photographer in high school and our year books are loaded with pictures I took. I continued that hobby well into adulthood. In 2004 I opened a free gallery of my "stock" type photos. My photos have been used in tons of stuff. Ive been the cover of at least 3 books that I know of. A handful of magazines, My photos have been used in two games, hundreds of advertisements and one was recently featured on Good Morning America. While my husband was in Bosnia I bought Photoshop and taught myself. I got so good I began teaching online classes. My main thing right now is home schooling my kids. Cody is out of school but Trevan is in 6th and Grant is in 1st. I started home schooling with Cody way back in 1992 so its really not a challenge anymore. Its great fun and I enjoy having my kids with me pretty much all the time. I collect movies and I have over 1000 of them. Do you know how much room that takes up? As I said in my bio I'm slightly obsessed with Oscar. I never miss him and I have stuffed lots of Academy Award trivia in my head. I love old stuff and collect barbies, sesame street stuff, star wars stuff, and tons of other stuff I don't need. Ill be sure and post some pix soon. Future plans are to sell our house (were packing now) and buy an RV and be full timers.

A Tribute to the Queen of Tajono Music Selena Quintanilla Perez March 31 1995 Thank you Katie Grunewald for the video: Selena Quintanilla-Pérez (April 16, 1971 – March 31, 1995), known simply as Selena, was an American singer-songwriter. She was named the "top Latin artist of the '90s" and "Best selling Latin artist of the decade" by Billboard for her fourteen top-ten singles in the Top Latin Songs chart, including seven number-one hits. The singer had the most successful singles of 1994 and 1995, "Amor Prohibido" and "No Me Queda Más". She was called "The Queen of Tejano music" and the Mexican equivalent of Madonna. Selena released her first album, Selena y Los Dinos, at the age of twelve. She won Female Vocalist of the Year at the 1987 Tejano Music Awards and landed a recording contract with EMI a few years later. Her fame grew throughout the early 1990s, especially in Spanish-speaking countries. Selena was murdered at the age of 23 by Yolanda Saldívar, the president of her fan club. On April 12, 1995, two weeks after her death, George W. Bush, governor of Texas at the time, declared her birthday "Selena Day" in Texas. Warner Bros. produced Selena, a film based on her life starring Jennifer Lopez, in 1997. Selena's life was also the basis of the musical Selena Forever starring Veronica Vazquez as Selena. In June 2006 Selena was commemorated with a life-sized bronze statue (Mirador de la Flor in Corpus Christi, Texas) and a Selena museum opened there. She has sold over 60 million albums worldwide.

My Three Sons - Honeymoon Return This is risque stuff for the wholesome sitcom My Three Sons. In this scene from a 1967 episode titled "The Homecoming," Robbie and Katie return from their honeymoon trip. No one--except for wise Steve Douglas--can comprehend why the newlyweds didn't take advantage of the resort's various attractions.

Vanishing TV Character - Bub OCasey My Three Sons was one of televisions's longest-running sitcoms, airing 380 episodes over 12 seasons. It first aired on ABC from 1960 through 1965 and then on CBS from 1965 through 1972. The premise of the show was that Stephen Douglas (played by Fred MacMurray) was a widowed aeronautical engineer with three sons whose ages spanned about 12 years. We never learn much about his deceased wife--not even her first name. With Stephen Douglas often busy, his father-in-law, crusty but good-natured Bub O'Casey, was brought into the family fold to be the equivalent of the 'mother': the person who would cook, clean, shop, do laundry, mend clothes, and so forth. Bub was played by William Frawley who had earlier gained TV fame as Fred Mertz on I Love Lucy in the 1950s. The show was immediately popular but never quite managed to crack the Nielsen top 10 in ratings. Fred MacMurray, who was once the highest paid actor in Hollywood, only agreed to be in the show if he could shoot all his scenes in three months. ABC agreed to this unusual demand. This meant the scripts for an entire season had to be prepared so MacMurray's scenes could all be shot over the space of three months and then pieced together with scenes involving only the other cast members who had a standard shooting schedule. Four seasons into the show, a problem arose: Frawley's health was declining to the point where ABC could not get him insured in case it had to pay for an entire season of episodes to be re-shot with a replacement if Frawley died or was incapacitated by illness. Thus ABC felt it was financially prudent to unceremoniously drop Frawley from the cast midway through the 1964-65 season. (It was explained that Bub had gone to Ireland to look after his 104-year-old Aunt Katie.) Enter William Demarest, who took on the role of Charley O'Casey--Bub's seafaring brother. He was persuaded to become the new Mr. Mom at the Douglas home and proved to be even more grumpy than Bub, but just as lovable deep down. Bub was seldom mentioned again once Uncle Charley entered the scene. Apparently Frawley resented Demarest for replacing him in the cast. Because only the 1965 to 1970 episodes are widely syndicated, many newer fans of My Three Sons are utterly unaware of Bub O'Casey. The insurance concerns were very valid: Frawley died suddenly in March 1966 at age 79.
