The Brady Bunch In 1970, due to the success of the Brady's ABC Friday night companion show The Partridge Family, (about a musical family) some episodes began to feature the Brady Kids as a singing group. Though only a handful of shows (Doe-Ri-Me in the third season, Amateur Nite in the fourth and The New Johnny Bravo in the fifth were the only episodes to feature the Brady Bunch children singing) actually featured them singing and performing, the Brady Bunch began to produce albums. Though they never charted as high as the Partridge Family, they began touring the USA during the summer hiatus from the show, headlining as The Kids from the Brady Bunch. Although only Barry Williams and Maureen McCormick stayed in the music business as adults, Christopher Knight readily admits he felt he could not sing and recalls having great anxiety about performing live on stage with the cast.

McDonalds Trivia 1964 postcard featuring McDonald's Filet-o'-Fish McDonald's introduced the Filet-o'-Fish sandwich in the early 1960s in an effort to entice Catholics to the chain on Fridays. At the time, Catholics were not allowed to eat meat on any Friday of the calendar year.

Johnny Quest Cartoon Opening Sequence 60s credit to RetroJunk dot Com An action packed cartoon that I watched on Saturday mornings in the 60s while eating my bowl of Crap N' Crunch cereal! What ever became of Johnny Quest, Dr. Benton Quest, Race Bannon and Hadji? Little did they know what the future had in store for them. Poor Dr. Quest died in prison after being convicted of the illegal use of nuclear material in direct violation of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Race Bannon is now suffering from brain damage after taking one too many blows to the head, is in a nursing home and has to have this Depends changed hourly; and sadly, poor Johnny Quest lost his job and it was sent to India due to corporate greed, Americans wanting more money for doing less work and the flood of illegal immigrants from Mexico coming to the United States. Distraught, Johnny Quest had no choice but to immigrate to India to find work where he now works for Hadji at a Calcutta call center owned by an American company validating rebates for Salad Shooters for a few Rubles a day. Bandit is in doggy heaven after dying of natural causes in 1974.

Nancy Walker as Ida Morgenstern I've got her on my mind now because of Lava's trivia question. Nancy Walker was a natural comedianne, her role as Ida Morgenstern in the sitcom, Rhoda, was closer to real life than most people realized. She was devoted, loving, sarcastic, and never let you have the last word. Reminds me of someone very dear to me (i love you ma). Enjoy this short clip of Ida in all her glory..
