The Bold Ones: Television Series Here is the introduction to the second year of a rotational episodic program entitled "The Bold Ones". The series ran from 1970-1971. This was one of the most interesting series that included four other different segments. In this excellent clip we can see actors David Hartman, Hal Holbrook, John Saxon, and E.G. Marshall. There was as well a series entitled "The Lawyers", which included performances from James Farentino, Burl Ives, and Joseph Campanella rounding off the seventies legal stories cast. These episodes of "The Bold Ones" ran on air from 1968 to 1972. Awards were handed out to the short-lived program added to it called "The Senator", which received five awards at The Emmy Awards, including Best Drama series for that year. As you can see, it was television with an added dramatic edge, which unfortunately didn't last that long on first-run. To fully understand this particularly well-orchestrated series, "The Bold Ones" is what you would describe as an "umbrella title" for the broadcasted episodes that were shown then. The powerful "Bold Ones" theme made the viewer aware that they were about to view dramatic television programming. Entertainment value was its main objective with the title being shown prior to its episodic stories. *E*
