Archie Bunker for Prez T-Shirts During the 1972 presidential campaign "Archie Bunker For President" t-shirts got a few laughs. America's favorite bigot didn't win the election, of course, but his man "Richard E. Nixon" (that's what Archie called him) did!

Phil Rizzuto - First WML Mystery Guest This clip is from the very first episode of What's My Line. It aired on Wednesday, February 2, 1950. New York Yankees' shortstop Phil Rizzuto is the mystery guest. Longtime panelist Dorothy Kilgallen is recognizable as is host John Daly. The other three panelists that night were poet Louis Untermeyer, former New Jersey governor Harold G. Hoffman, and Park Avenue psychiatrist Richard Hoffman. The idea of having blindfolds ceremoniously brought out by pretty assistant Madeline Tyler was ditched after this one episode.

Richard Dawson Cracks Up One of the first clips I ever posted on this website was the famous Family Feud "September" answer which left normally unflappable host Richard Dawson unable to continue. Here's another clip along those same lines. What might you talk to a total stranger about? Mutual friends, of course!

The Hockey Song Stompin' Tom Connors, who died at age 77 on March 6, 2013, was a folk/country singer who was well loved within Canada but hardly known outside its borders. Connors typically penned and performed songs with a distinctly Canadian theme. His most famous tune, The Hockey Song, first recorded in 1973, is familiarly played during lulls in the action at arenas everywhere in Canada. Feel free to sing along!

Real People - NBC Show Here's the intrduction from a 1980 episode of Real People--a popular NBC anthology show that ran for five years. Originally designed as a 'short-flight series' in the spring of 1979, it drew surprisingly strong ratings. Naturally NBC made it a regular prime-time show. Real People featured offbeat news stories and the exploits of eccentric folks shown to a live studio audience. The show had an overabundance of hosts. Among the regular hosts were Sarah Purcell, Byron Allen, John Barbour and Skip Stephenson. Real People finshed a strong 12th in overall TV ratings for the 1980-81 season. Its success spawned the very similar That's Incredible! on ABC. Here's a little-known fact: Richard Simmons was first widely exposed to American TV audiences on Real People.
