This is 'real' stop-animation before it got destroyed by modern quickening technology.
Videocraft International, Ltd, this 1960s animation company made all those classic Christmas Rankin/Bass specials using the same animation process, the method that was used for years on many, many productions. You all know the show Gumby, and the traditional religious show, Davey and Goliath, well, you can see both used the same animated method. Yes, the company switched names in the 1970s.

This Sunday morning cartoon is a stop motion animation series and was created for The Lutheran Church during the 1960's and produced by Art Clokey who is also know for the Gumby cartoon series that also was Stop Motion animation. Most were 15 minutes long and featured Davey Hansen and his dog Goliath who could talk. But only Davey (and us!) could hear him talk. This show taught the Love of God through everyday experiences. In many eyes, we here at YRT find Gumby a mega-star.
Never forgotten, the original Gumby, he glided on one foot, throughout the late 1950s to the late 1960s and beyond.
This is the 1967 version of the memorable theme song.
