Remember December of '76? The 17th? Chances are, you couldn't open a newspaper without seeing the excessive print advertising in numerous papers.
Want to get exceptionally technical? How can I document the era without? Well, the attempt of over-expressed hype with a contemporary 40 foot high simian was put to the test with a challenging expedition. Remember, everyone came out to see him fall down. Too many! It sort of got dangerous with the crowd. As mentioned already, remember the advertising. It never matched the pose of the beastly gorilla. What happened? Did you have an experience then in NYC with it then? Remember the huge publicity that had started a year prior to it? Did you know it was taken in on a Hawaiian island. Remember the puzzles and Seven-Eleven cups, or the recreated posters that were synonymous with outlandish hype. Helicopters appeared instead of jets?! They had lost the jets in the long process. Totally disappeared from sight? Though, it was still brought together with a huge scale with the updated story. The hype, it was hard to avoid then. Magazines, newspapers, bubblegum. Anything possible was printed up. Most of the hype consisted of sixty-one tons of metal in total weight. Sure, it could of gone wrong with the animosity being created by someone behind the lens and the publicity that was connected to it. Mean and occasional confrontational towards others were the rumors. So many personalities were being protected by Dino then. Mister D. could express himself easily with the vivid project. So, how do you create a trans-formative idea into an event for Christmas, while under pressure for a specific date? Holding to patience and budget and keeping the name in the news. Perceptions were made strong for the life-like beast with the constant push of hype. We all knew the errors that were made with whispers in the cinema. It just didn't match-up. What happened? But with most of the kids, they don't care what they saw. Then, there were many big inconsistencies along the way. Especially during the months leading up to the day. Drawings, sculpture's were far-fetched from its final visual presentation that cost over a million, all constructed by an Italian for Mr. D. He would later work again for the man, but this time with another white animal. With the work put in weekly then, 31,000 in hydraulic hose and 4,500 in electrical wires looked like it did cost a lot of money. The workshop must've been busy for months. It was. Did you know the beast had an arm span of 20 feet! His arms and hands were able to move in 16 positions. Remember the waterfall part? A real high-tech deal then. It was urgent that they hurried on it for the coming December. The date had already been placed - an entire year away in newspapers. Did you know, the huge furry creation was created to walk and turn - but we all know how that turned out. Fabricated lies. The motion was not good. Too mechanical. His still eyes and open mouth were supposed to be close-to-life as the complex hydraulic valves were pressed and pulled. It is funny, little was said of who was actually being shot for closeups and long shots. A secret kept for months. Nobody really knew what to expect, when actually it was an innovative electrical-wired-mask that was made for an actual makeup man. The gorilla costumed now actor was actually ignored many times during the days they were working. The man nowadays, he is a big deal in recent years. Know him? Who is he? You should know. It had to be sweaty under all that. Then, at the time, it was very constraining to be dealt in that way. To be ignored, left in a corner - alone. Alienated. There’s more to this thing than you could imagine. Hard to just rip it away. But then, it was all new. Unlike the renowned 30's one. Too different. That was the appeal as it eventually came off more like a homage. The secret to the big and tall balanced figure was - well-made proportionally hydraulic valves, as they were assembled together using wires running to a crane by a control system run by six operators. It looked dangerous when set-up for balancing. Did you know that 4,000 pounds of horse tails from Argentina were added to the exterior of its appearance. Four kinds of netting contributed in months of preparation, all by securing into panels individually; then glued on a plastic mold - entirely covering the frame of the metal underneath meticulously. A lot of patience for the end result. Once organized, a huge cost to build the furry machine. The funny, almost absurd thing is, it didn't look real. Robotic and unnatural. You could see, once put together, it was only seen for a few mere seconds. A glimpse? That was it. Seconds? All that work and money for a $1.7 moment. Of course, the rest was done with award winning, groundbreaking blue screen technology with the fearsome suit added in. But did you know, it recovered its 24 million budget -by three times! True. I assume, some of that came from the wide merchandising too. Remember View-Master? The proof is in the pudding, despite the best efforts then with going to Hawaii and NYC for weeks. Now, just maybe, you have a totally different opinion on it. I can understand. Did you know that Jess, she went off to learn more on her craft on performing, including photography. She wasn't clueless with the unique virtue she had placed then. Also, I thought she had done a great job with the big primate. Then again, I do pay full attention to details with trying to explain it all smoothly. I suppose you realize this now. Did you ever catch the second part to the story in the mid-80s? I walked out of it. Boy, talk about being short-lived. That was one thing that hype could not buy. A dull story.
As usual, there just wasn't enough of it. Too bad.
They had missed the mark on it.

So you want a need a challenge? I recognize that
easily. I like to be stumped too.
How about proving to yourself that you actually know what the moment is from. Recall?
Always remember: It doesn't really matter what time or day it is, the game will always be here.
The only question remains .... Are you going to play this time or next?
And for that very reason, I am waiting for an answer onto the community screen.
So, have you snagged it yet?

Forget about everything you might not know. Forget about everything. Go stick your earphones in and slide your seat up. Now disparate problems that have nothing to do with you. Fight back at that and just think. Think back to another time. And, of course, if that sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. Sorry. But, just like most good things in life, there is no detour to always thinking back to a better day. Let me bring somebody to the light now. Cofused? No need for it. Shown is one guy who you gotta know. He held himself up for a few years, then dropped out only to return. Reasons? There were many in-fights that could last for hours or even years. Take about messy. Together, they just couldn't keep things together as a unit. A lot of changes took place with members leaving. Nobody could get along with the difference of personalities. Trying to hold it all together was difficult then. How true. Recall Marty? That's right, the guy with the moustache. Mr. Balin was just trying to contribute in his own way. He did his best, as he was always talking spiritualism. He didn't let things stop him though. Man, he had been with them since the 60s! As some of you may know, he went on to other projects that he loves. Did you know he lives near Tampa, Florida. It goes without saying, you can remember those days you lived back then. It is natural to remember the time when you were hardly ever home. Given a choice, I bet you would've chosen to stay like that, in say the year being stated now. Addressing the time now, they carried a lot of happiness for people. I bet you had a few favorite days and nites when you went to the vinyl stores on another shopping spree. Disposable coins on March 11th of that year. When it went up the respected list. Hard to forget. All you wanted to do was get home and let it be heard. You may know them well, but do you remember the then ongoing years of these individuals? Most disappointingly, there were a lot of problems keeping them together. If it sounded too good, well it just isn't going to last. Problems instill more problems, as things always broke down for them, as their front man wasn't ready to give all his time to them. That would change later on for the better. You know, Marty, he is also a painter and can still be be often seen with those close to him on a stage even now. Definite cool. Opening the jacket up and ... you get the picture. Once it was opened, it stayed on the turntable for weeks. *E*

Storytime continues: Anyone here or there looking for that Kevin (the lead) to follow through on his big one from then will have to wait a lot longer. What was he waiting for! Seems that just recently, he had tried it all over again. It didn't work out. Too much time had passed by for a 2nd chance. And topping it all off, he had made a series of mistakes that were a real loss for himself.
Did you know that "Dexy" (the word) is what was known as a pill used for diet purposes, out of a once evidenced way of life that was known as the "Northern Soul Style". This was from the decade before the 70's. The 1960's. Did you know about that? Then, it was all too common for a community of people in that area to get their kicks from it. It was usually in clubs and on the streets for that sort of thing. It was all tough, living a tough to get by dire Birmingham, England. That was the reality in the later part of the Seventies, as these few managed change by waiting for a form of fate to intervene. To have something going for themselves collectively as a apparent group waiting for a chance. But, the only thing they really had was motivation from Kevin at that time, and a theater picture that made them find themselves with a proper look for people who would believe in them. Also, they were caught up in their own countries soul scene from the then 1960's. And with that, they had received a lot of positive feedback for their unique wardrobe, which was inspired by the picture called "Mean Streets". I had to think about that one. So after some time, a few them with Kevin had enough of the pressure to follow up with something new. This was because, they had no say on what they should do. In other words, nobody was listening to what direction to take from Kevin. Kevin had a difficult time with it. All were on opposite sides, but at some point, it was suggested, back in early '82 to change to an Ireland-inspired folk, gypsy and soul, all scruff appearance. It worked. It was unlike anything then. It seemed to have worked immediately. But as we have come to observe, the breaking point was about to come. Some of them were too overwhelmed with it and left. Matching that again would pass by. The opportunity was just not there for them, even though they tried a few years back with a few other newbies. One mistake could be said, changing themselves repeatedly wasn't really what they wanted to do. Their clothing, they became like a fashion show. As told, Kevin had missed his chance with a loss of confidence among other things. These were the most important factors to all of it. *E*

"Soul Train" creator Don Cornelius was found dead at his Sherman Oaks on home Wednesday morning.
Law enforcement sources said police arrived at Cornelius' home around 4 a.m. He apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing.
The sources said there was no sign of foul play, but the Los Angeles Police Department was investigating.

So again, I am going to try to improve your thoughts on what you may of knew before, but these days, you have totally forgot for some reason.
Yep. It is needless to say, I am usually summarizing a few theories on why I continue to keep myself up late at night with coffee by my side.
No, I am not deranged. I am just a coffee lover like you.
I guess deranged is not the proper term to explain my anarchic self. Oh, pardon thy self. I didn't even say that, did I? Time for more of that coffee!

Once again, it's showtime! Who could forget, the affection former Manchester gent had gained then. It was just as equally great as his older siblings. It was unfortunate though, he had passed on at exactly 30 years of age. Bad timing. There was a lot of talk on why and so sudden. Remember when? Like all, we expect to spend a lifetime with him. But it was not to be. How do I incorporate a great life of travel for the Manchester-born performer? Well, as a child, he was relocated nearby Brisbane, Australia, which changed the course of his life. His days included being placed in the city of Sydney. But by the late 1960's, he decided to fly over to Britain with the rest of his family to seek a more appealing life of success with his brothers and close sister. He wanted to be creative and expressive like his other three bros. You could call this a cash move for the whole family. It seemed then, the family were making the right move for the boys. As he grew into his teen years, he set himself up on the Island of Ibiza (Spain) doing the tourist entertainment circuit, and then, after some time, he went over on the Isle of Man, found close to Britain and Ireland. In 1974, Barry asked him to return to Australia. He listened, and hastily packed, most obviously to take action to make it big. Often times, this is how you solve a problem, by taking your strong impulse and moving on with it. Back then, he was orienting himself with endlessly being connected with his brothers calling. As life suddenly became complex for him in 1976 Australia, he decided to take the significant step to go to Florida with them. It had become difficult to deal with his wife in Australia. He wasn't receptive to know that she was with baby. It wasn't his! That would of finished most, but he carried on in America. In the late part of '76, brother Barry was ready to guide his baby brother in the right direction. Everything felt better when both experienced a top-charted disc (#1) that his brother famously wrote for him, as he was too skilled at it, just like his other siblings were. The next year he saw a wave of success by the brothers that included himself this time. Do I really need to say that it was partly thanks to a white suit and a flashing-lit disco floor found in NYC. That accomplishment made them all feel like a million bucks. But it was even much more for them. At one point, Andy outsold all others with his brothers help. That is a strong family unit, just so long as you are happy. In April of '78, things took off for Andy. He achieved his hearts desire with a wave of numerous vinyl hits that followed more and more. Well, not that it made much of a difference, but Andy emerged just as popular as his family members. He had become as important. We are aware that Barry had a hand in it. Everyone shared together with the '78 hit. A great bond. Two years had passed, when things would crack with inadequate feelings. Time spent with his gal would become broken suddenly. How many recall Victoria P.? He had to choose from becoming an ongoing concern during the course of their known relationship. He ultimately suffered with losing her. He was too much in a daze then with her. Things were becoming strained with that. It wasn't good. So with various projects still being sent his way, he became more and more difficult in social situations on and off in the public. He did try and try by conquering his problems in '84. He was the top performer at a major festival in Chile, with performing two nights back to back. He also held a two-week engagement at San Fran's Fairmont Hotel in 03 of '86 thanks to his talents. His streak of ones was slowing though, even when he was given great opportunities. But he had a difficult time overcoming his now gone girlfriend. He couldn't move forward in a personal way. So he just fell into the distance of his private world of drugs and behavior issues. And absenteeism was causing heartbreak and agony, all caused by binges of that white junk we know of. Basically, it wasn't pretty. Much sadness followed quickly with him isolating himself from others due to that. All in all, he did achieve more by becoming the guy who would never disappear from us, despite the consequences that messed his life up. He had a total wave of 11 no. ones that came right on time in his life. Never forgotten. *E*

Okay, let us explore another one. I am not going to encourage you though, it may be tougher than the previous. What kind of difference does it make these days, right. I just want to get U involved. Puzzled over it, or are you just shy at letting me know how smarty-smart you are.By the way, know some German?
Thanks.
