The Beatles Ballad of John and Yoko The Video clip, is of where they show some images form their wedding - "The Ballad of John and Yoko" is a song released by The Beatles as a single in May 1969. Primarily written by John Lennon, the song was attributed, as was the custom, to the Lennon/McCartney songwriting team. It chronicled the events surrounding Lennon's marriage to Yoko Ono and their subsequent activities together, including their famous first Bed-In, and demonstration of bagism. It was released while the couple was in the middle of their second Bed-In. It was recorded just before the main sessions commenced for the Abbey Road album. The song is a ballad in the traditional sense of a narrative poem in a song, not in the sense used in modern pop music where the term usually refers to a slow, sentimental love song...WHEN RECORDING, was performed by Lennon and Paul McCartney; George Harrison was on holiday, and Ringo Starr was filming The Magic Christian. Lennon had a sudden inspiration for the song and called on McCartney, suggesting the two of them record it immediately without waiting for the other Beatles to return.

Remembering Robert Goulet Robert Goulet passed away this morning (10/30) while awaiting a lung transplant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after being found last month to have a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis. He had remained in good spirits even as he waited for the transplant, said Vera Goulet, his wife of 25 years. "Just watch my vocal cords," she said he told doctors before they inserted a breathing tube. He was the only son of French Canadian parents, Joseph Georges Andre Goulet and the former Jeanette Gauthier. Though he was born in Massachusetts, his parents moved back to Canada just a few months after his birth. He gained stardom in 1960 with "Camelot," the Lerner and Loewe musical that starred Richard Burton as King Arthur and Julie Andrews as his Queen Guenevere. In his last performance Sept. 20 in Syracuse, N.Y., the crooner was backed by a 15-piece orchestra as he performed the one-man show "A Man and his Music." Robert Goulet won a 1968 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for this performance in " The Happy Time". He was 73.

Featured Member- Stalzz aka Steve --our 3rd Steve! Hi, I am known as Stalzz on your site. I was born in November, 1964 and I'm from Denver Colorado. I love old movies and old music and old TV shows, and I collect a lot of it on DVD and CD. I also collect celebrity autographed memorabilia. I have over 500 items signed by various celebs from movies and TV shows, with a specialty in character actors and actresses. The only genre of autographs I don't collect are sports figures. I don't collect the autographs to sell them, I collect them to keep them. My most favorite ones are from Astronaut John Glenn (personalized to me), actor Edward G. Robinson and comedians George Burns, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. I have been a part time radio broadcaster for 20 years at Denver's public radio jazz station KUVO- www.kuvo.org I'm single, I've never been married, I have no kids but I do have a black cat named Spooky. I really enjoy seeing all the old TV show clips on You Remember That, especially the musical ones and classic TV commercials.

Answer your telephone Apparently George from Seinfeld is dead wrong: You should rush like a madman to answer all your telephone calls. It's the Golden Rule! (At least it was when this notice ran in 1931.) It doesn't say who sponsored it. The telephone company, I suppose.
