Rebecca The story begins with images of a ruined country manor, and a woman telling us that she can never return to Mandalay...but what's REALLY freaky is Mrs. Danvers!!

Cover of Vogue Magazine 1893 Halloween (yes, i start early!) . . i really think this is a great (and freaky) cover . . it's the little devils (pun intended) at the top of the mirror that get to me!

Reporter Eerily Discusses McKinley Assassination on 22 Nov 1963 This is a freaky clip. It shows the crowd in Fort Worth, Texas awaiting the arrival of President Kennedy on November 22, 1963 for a luncheon hosted by the chamber of commerce. A reporter from the local ABC affiliate mentions the security requirements that accompany all presidential appearances. He also discusses how security was botched in Buffalo in 1901 when President McKinley was assassinated.

Maurice Chevalier on Whats My Line Here's an eery episode of What's My Line from April 1965: Maurice Chevalier, closing in on his 77th birthday, appears as the mystery challenger. There's nothing eery about that. The freaky part is host John Daly's comment about how energetic he hopes he'll be when he's 77. John Daly died of a heart attack just four days after his 77th birthday in 1991.

Dancing Pig 1907 A French vaudeville routine filmed in 1907. The piggy costume is so darn creepy it's almost like something you would see in your nightmares. I thought that what with all the Swine flu news this would be a nice humor break. I saw this short film on a DVD of old silent films and looked it up online and here it is for your enjoyment from 1907.
