My Three Sons opening credits This familar TV theme ought to bring back memories. This happens to be the opening of the first-ever My Three Sons episode, in 1960. The show ran an amazing 12 years and went through many cast changes. The pre-1965 black and white episodes are seldom seen these days. My favorite cast member was the beautiful Tina Cole who played Katie. She was adorable! Whatever became of her?

James Bonds Ms Moneypenny Lois Maxwell, who became so well-known for her performances as Ms Moneypenny in the James Bond films, has died. The Canadian-born actress starred alongside Sean Connery in the first James Bond movie, "Dr. No," in 1962 as the secretary to M, the head of the secret service.- but there's much more to her acting career than that. She started out against her parents will - and without their knowledge in a Canadian childrens radio program - credited as 'Robin Wells'. Before the age of 15 she left for England with The Canadian Army's Entertainment Corps and managed (after her age had been discovered) to get herself enrolled in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she met and became friends with Roger Moore. Her movie career started with a Warner production A Matter of Life and Death (1946). After having won The Most Promising Newcomer Golden Globe Award in 1947 she went on to participate in 6 Hollywood productions before she decided to try her luck in Italy. She had to leave for England because of her husband's illness, and since then she has had roles in a number of movies besides the first 14 Bond movies. In 1989 she retired. She died Saturday night at Fremantle Hospital near her home in Perth, Australia. Bond star, Roger Moore said she was suffering from cancer. She was 80.

Petticoat Junction theme Petticoat Junction had one of the most recognizable TV themes ever. This is the opening from the first season (1963-64). Petticoat Junction enjoyed its best ratings during that first season and was a staple of the CBS lineup. The show suffered greatly after Bea Benaderet died in 1968 and last aired in September 1970. The black-and-white shows from the first two seasons were never put into syndication. I would have stayed at the Shady Rest Hotel just for the scenery. The scenery's names were Billie Jo, Bobby Jo and Betty Jo.

Marilyn Monroe and Jack Benny Now this is what a movie star looks like! Marilyn Monroe made her first television appearance in 1953. It was on the Jack Benny Show. Despite the age mentioned in this clip, Marilyn was an old lady of 27 when she did this.

Rhiannon performed by Fleetwood Mac Fleetwood Mac-Rhiannon-1976..."Rhiannon" is a popular single released by Fleetwood Mac in 1976. The song was the first example of Stevie Nicks' prolific writing, performing and singing within the band. In later years her performing and singing would become even more important in the band's artistry. Nicks is renowned for dramatic live performances of Rhiannon in flowing gowns. "Rhiannon" was voted #488 in The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine. (Most of us, some more then others can never forget this song and the great on stage performance of the band)

Miss Jane Powell here at age 17 (her studio says 16), had her first pin-up photo shot taken. This was taken right after she was in HOLIDAY IN MEXICO in 1946. (PLOT "Ambassador Jeffrey Evans (Walter Pidgeon), a widower living in Mexico, has his hands full with his teenage daughter Christine (Jane Powell). Christine runs the entire household and tries to manage her father's private life as well. But love threatens to wreck all her carefully made plans: an earnest young classmate (Roddy McDowall) is hopelessly in love with her. . .Ambassador Evans is smitten with a beautiful singer (Ilona Massey). . .and poor Christine isn't sure where she fits in anymore! Top top it all off, Christine develops a crush on famed pianist Jose Iturbi, who is much older than she." TRIVIA: One of several films in which a young Fidel Castro appears as an extra, mostly in crowd scenes.
