Frank Gifford on Whats My Line New York Giants' halfback Frank Gifford appears as a regular contestant on the December 2, 1956 episode of What's My Line. Earlier that day Gifford had figured in all four the the Giants' touchdowns in the team's 28-14 victory over the Washington Redskins. Gifford was named the NFL's MVP in 1956. Panelists Dorothy Kilgallen and Arlene Francis are clearly smitten by the handsome 26-year-old gridiron star.

Terry Fox Marathon of Hope 1980 Terry Fox was arguably the most heroic figure in Canadian history. On April 12, 1980, the 21-year-old Fox, who had lost his right leg to cancer three years earlier, began a mind-boggling cross-Canada run from Newfoundland to British Columbia with the aid of a prosthesis to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. For the next four months Fox averaged 25 miles per day as Canada became captivated by his exploits. Unfortunately, Fox had to abandon his 'Marathon of Hope' near Thunder Bay, Ontario on September 1 because the cancer had resurfaced in his lungs. Fox had run 3,339 miles! He died nine months later. This nine-minute feature was produced by ESPN in 2005.

Do You Twitter or Facebook A few months ago I was told I should join Facebook. I did and stayed because I found all my nieces and nephews and a few professional people I know. Now I'm told Twitter and just trying to figure this one out...this one seems harder to learn right off the bat trying to find friends. On all accounts including Myspace I'm YouRememberThat of course. Are you on any of these? If so why don't you add the account and the name you use.

Farrah Fawcett -In April 1976, a poster company Pro Arts Inc., that had started out making anti-war posters, started to hear about a young up-and-coming beauty named Farrah Fawcett doing Wella Balsam shampoo commercials. Fawcett arranged to have Bruce McBroom, a freelance photographer with whom she had worked with before, do the shoot. McBroom took the pictures at Farrah's poolside Bel Air, California home!! --On September 22, 1976, the first episode of Fawcett playing the character Jill Munroe in the TV series Charlie's Angels was aired. Around the same time, her swimsuit poster was released. It went on to sell a still-unrivaled 12 million copies and she became known for her tousled hair and bright smile. The hairstyle went on to become an international trend, with women sporting a "Farah-Do" or "Farrah Hair" and the hairstyle was even spoofed in various media... (born February 2, 1947) is an American actress. She was a noted pop culture figure whose hairstyle was emulated by millions of young women, and a sex symbol for millions of young men in the 1970s and 1980s. She went on to become a critically accepted actress, appearing in television movies (The Burning Bed, Poor Little Rich Girl: The Barbara Hutton Story and sometimes unsympathetic Small Sacrifices)...Fawcett was married to Lee Majors, star of The Six Million Dollar Man, from 19731982, though the two separated in 1979. During this time, she was known as Farrah Fawcett-Majors....From 1982 to the present, Fawcett has been involved romantically with actor Ryan O'Neal. The relationship produced a son, Redmond O'Neal, who was born in 1985.
